Technically it's the third worst day of the year for me behind Halloween and New Year's Eve. But man, this day can be pretty annoying when you always have to look behind your back to make sure no one is pulling a joke on you or when you visit your favorite webpage and they decide to mess around with it for the day's sake. You never know what to take seriously on this day.

Annoying day for anyone else?

Generally, I have no problem with that day. I just don't believe weird claims made by anyone, and I've only been fooled twice this April Fools - and that's a very bad record for me.

I love this day. I got my mother good today and she didn't get her revenge on me like she did last year after I did one on her. I tried pulling them on my husband but my face gives it away. I also love pulling them online. I love seeing all these pranks websites do and and anything bad people say I take as a joke.

I had a bad experience with April Fool's Day three years ago. Someone decided to put a "Kick Me," sign on my back. Even though they meant it as a harmless joke, I thought it was a little over the top. However, I did freak out a little bit too much. That was because I decided to tease that person and mention that there was a cat outside since this person liked cats.

As for other people with AS, I would see why it's a bad holiday for people on the spectrum. Maybe it's because we have a hard time reading certain situations like the situation where that person inserted the kick me sign. Then again, anyone on the spectrum is more gullible because other people think they can get away with it.

In February somebody posted that Valentine's day was the worst day of the year for folks with AS.

I love April Fool's day. I like playing practical jokes.

It's kind of immature seeing grown adults trying to fool each other. I guess it happens every day of every year though, under the guise of socialising.

Everyone around me is just so busy to even bother with it, so that's good.

Next year I'm renaming it "Everybody Lies Day" to avoid falling into little traps.

I agree that Halloween is insane and should have no place in American culture at all. But what's wrong with New Year's Eve? And how does it affect ASD people more than anybody else?

Either we don't make good April Fools jokes, or we have a good time getting them.
