Actually Homestuck is awesome. I started reading it after seeing a Jade Harley cosplayer at an anime convention this past April.

I am, although I have trouble staying consistent with it. I'm currently on Act 6, Act 3. Great series with amazing music. Terezi is my favorite character so far.

I could never really tell one troll from another. They are pretty funny though.

So you're Biribiri, huh? I'll have to admit, Misaka "Railgun" Mikoto is one of my favorite characters from the Index/Railgun anime. I like her because it's not just the fact that she's a powerful electrokinetic, it's that she is creative enough to use her power in different ways for the full effect (hence her nickname and signature attack), and the fact that the anime focuses less on her ability and more on her as a person. Maybe it's because her power was first measured at Level 1 and she brought it to 5 all on her own.

Also, it's funny how embarrassed she gets over romance where Touma is concerned. Having psycho lesbian teleportress Kuroko as a roommate doesn't help much either.

I like Homestuck, though only for the trolls. My favorite is Gamzee, specifically how he was prior to Strider showing him the Insane Clown Posse video.

I'll be honest. I pretty much freaked out when I read this post. Index and Railgun were a huge obsession for me last year and still is to some degree, although I prefer Railgun. Also yes, Mikoto is my favorite character for all the reasons you stated and also because despite having such a high position in Academy City's social hierarchy, she never looks down on others and is always willing to help out. It's kind of hard to find such a well-developed character in anime nowadays and while Index and Railgun are far from the perfect series, Mikoto really struck me as something special as a character. She's tsundere but not to the point where it's annoying and she has flaws that are not only there to balance out her personality, but they're also realistic enough for people to actually relate to. I also love her un-relenting sense of justice. It might get her into trouble with Kuroko sometimes but seeing her take care of the bad guys the way she does makes it all worth it in the end.

Getting back to Homestuck, I can understand what you mean. All the trolls are rather unique and funny but somehow Terezi stood out for me. Like Misaka, Terezi also has a very strong sense of justice and in addition, uses her disability (blindness) to her advantage. I find that to be quite admirable which is why I probably like her the most.

@IdahoRose Yes, I too miss mellow hippie Gamzee. I can't really get the hang of his new blood-thirsty psychotic personality.

I loved Gamzee's initially peaceful and friendly personality. I hate the fact that they turned him into a psychopath. It feels like such a cliche, because these days every clown-like character is evil. Whenever I go to the Homestuck Wiki, I just read the chat logs prior to his mental breakdown and remind myself that in my imagination, Gamzee will always be the sweet, funny stoner he was originally meant to be.

I hope he snaps out of it eventually or Hussie makes it just a phase he's going through or something. It was nice to find a clown character that wasn't batshit insane for once. Unfortunately, it appears fans can't get enough of psycho Gamzee so I doubt he'll be returning back to normal anytime soon :(

I'm not surprised that HS fans love psycho!Gamzee, because look at how popular Heath Ledger's Joker was when The Dark Knight came out. It seems that a lot of people who don't have a clown phobia seem to love psycho clowns. I'm a little tired of it though.

One of my favorite web comics.

I even listen to the music(although, to be fair, the music is pretty good on its own.)

Alright, fine. I'm obsessed with it. There, that's the truth. I'm not exactlty proud of it, but who cares.

I'm trying to get into it but i can't really figure out what they hype is. Plus the sheer amount of content is ridiculously overwhelming. I do enjoy Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff though

Here's something I wrote. It's from the perspective of the Wayward Vagabond, and is about his pet firefly. I call it, "Song for a Little Friend":

Hey, please wake up,
Please for me,
I’m your friend,
You aren’t moving,
Please wake up for me.
Oh please wake up for me,
Serenity.

Remember when I rescued you
From the Amber,
Or played with cans?
I was such a fool back then.
Please wake up for me.
Please wake up for me,
Serenity.

What is the proper reaction to this?

Oh yeah, and my assessment of Eridan:

A 13 year old troll version of Zap Branigan from Futurama that dresses similar to "hipster" version of Harry Potter(not that would change much of the outfit.)

Does this seem like Eridan to you?
