I NEED to calm myself? Tips
've been having a problem for a while now where i feel out. I sometimes feel like fear is written/ as in hardwired into my body in a way can't overcome and i will keep attracting bad happenings until I fix it ? That's really my question, as am not very good with searching for this stuff online How can you deprogram fear from yourself ( I can't afford hypnosis). What exercises can do? Should I do marijuana as a supplement? really need somethng cfan do efveryday, because ths seems to be gettng n the way of everythng, and i mea n everythng. ITs getting harder to meditate ( started trying a month ago). ANd t wont go away, so can somebody pls help? Thank you.
If you seem like you're REALLY losing control of your anxiety then a friendly trip to your neighborhood ER should help. Sounds like you can benefit from some anti-anxiety meds like Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin or Valium. They've been using those for years - along with therapy - and it has helped millions of people all over the world. Good luck.
One of the things that works for me in fighting lots of undesirable mental states (even including mild physical pain) is to focus on it, and attempt to experience whatever it is to a maximum intensity. I know that sounds like exactly the opposite of what you're trying to do, but in practice, it doesn't quite work, which is the whole point. I can break whatever it is with this method, temporarily at least.
Example of a conversation with myself using this technique:
"I'm really worried about going to this job interview."
"Well, how worried are you?"
"I'm pretty worried."
"Show me how worried."
*worries*
"Can you be more worried or is that it?"
*worries harder*
"Is that the limit?"
"Uhm ... no. Let me try harder." *worries even harder*
"OK ... is that the limit?"
"No, its limitless!! I just can't do it right now"
"There you go then"
Hard to say, its too unpredictable, marijuana sometimes causes anxiety, sometimes eases it. Maybe you could try very, very small amounts and slowly work it up and see.
