This is why I "left" WP, because the place was growing on me. Because of CockneyRebel, I'll never look at buses the same way ever again.

I'm not obsessed with buses...yet. Actually, I did briefly have a related obsession. About a year ago, after I saw the move "Murder on the Orient Express," I experienced a short-lived fascination with the Orient Express. All I remember is that the company that ran it was called Wagon-Lit, and it ran from Paris to Belgrade, and beyond.

First of all, I would like to thank you.

Secondly, I would like to say that I appreciate the Routemaster for many reasons.

They have been a staple on London's streets for nearly 50 years.

Their two main colours of livery are red and green, which are also my favourite colours.

The First Production Routemasters look like they have rosey cheeks, due to their brake and radiator grilles.

Routies appear to be smiling, therefore, they've given London a human face.

They go Ding! Ding! - Modern double deckers don't make that cheerful noise.

The Half-Cab front and the Chasis Pole are the two main things that make them beautiful.

They also look adorable from the back.

It's very hard for me to resist a happy little Bus, when I'm browsing a Flea Market or a Hobby Store.

Dont forget the internal lights-lovely frosted glass round/oval lights inside.

Most people don't know this, but Noah's Ark was actually an early Routemaster prototype.

When the US decided to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, the delivery vehicle first chosen was not an airplane but a Routemaster. President Truman vetoed that idea, however, claiming that the power of the atom bomb, combined with the awesomeness of the Routemaster, would just inflict too much damage on Japan. This decision probably saved Truman from being convicted of war crimes.

There should be a Pimp my Ride episode on a Routemaster, or something of the sort. Just pimp it out, and I'm sure Cokney'd be pleased!
