Asperger Services meetings - anyone been?

I'm thinking of going to one but i don't know what they do in meetings. Anyone been to one? I'm 19 in September so would i classify for the adult group?

I've belonged to one in Seattle for months but never went. I just don't have the cajones.

As far as I am aware (and I have tried finding one), there are no meetings of/for adults with autism within over 1000 miles of where I live. If there were, I would probably try attending at least once... but I don't have the chance at all.

(I have HFA but would gladly attend meetings for those with Asperger's, because HFA and AS are so similar)

Ive been to a Aspergers Services Australia Adult Group meetings and Bbq. You are old enough to be in the adult meetings and the Aspergers Services Australia has just opened their new place Aspergers Centre. They are on the Internet Aspergers Services Australia I am a member.

What is an Asperger Services Meeting?
Is it organised by a charity (or other incorporated business) or by aspies?
What do the "Services" entail?

come to the adult support meetings at virginia.. you will be welcomed, every second tuesday... check online for details
