Edited to add, then I clicked continue:

up to 100 more questions asked. Then I realized most of the spectrum questions were probably to weed out psychopaths and antisocial PD, which seems worse.... thoughts? ON these personality tests?

I'm adding a link to the questionnaire.... if anyone else is bored, can you find out if the questions are hard if not impossible (some of them) to answer "correctly"? My special interest is psychology and I can assign each question a disorder but some of the questions about traits are confusing me.

If you don't have time to do the questionnaire then I'll tell you the spectrum questions related to changes in routine, rigidity in thought, ease of small talk, ease of establishing relationships, taking control of situations at work, and honesty.

Do you all think these stupid questionnaires work against us?

It's half filled out already, the best I could do trying to answer NT, my friend helped some then I gave up lol Survey<----Link

edited to add: link has timed out

I think they just reflect the mindset they want the employee to have.

Some of the questions, the answer they want is obviously not actually the correct answer. Example being the last question:

In most sales jobs, customers act like they are better than the sales person.
Agree Disagree

Customers are rude and abusive often, and they do in general act like they are better than salespersons. Particularly if the salesperson is making minimum wage or equivalent and the customers are affluent, for instance. They will regard salespersons as a menial servant class, and themselves as nobility.

The technically and factually correct answer, then, is to agree. But this is not the answer the employer wants. He wants to hear "disagree" to weed out employees who will be bitter about the situation. Even though, the person doing the hiring probably worked his way up from sales and knows full well that it is not the factually correct answer.

Create a hypothetical model employee in your mind, and give the answers that hypothetical model employee would give. Then check that the answers do not totally misrepresent yourself (I.e. you could justify their application to yourself in some way), then submit. In the job try and follow as much of the model of the hypothetical model employee as you can while still balancing that with who you are.
That is my approach, which got me through a (far worse) psychoanalytical test that was part of a retail job.

And to think, for a pizza delivery job, I have to go through this process with every, single, question... all one hundred of them. Or 125, I didn't make it past #60 or so. Why a test so hard for an autistic? Or is it just hard for me cuz I'm nuts?

Did you read the whole test? This test is almost identical to the one I took during my neuropsychological evaluation that lead to my Asperger's diagnosis.

Oh my maybe it is just me...

Agree/Disagree
1.
In general, supervisors will help to get the work done.
Agree Disagree
Agree, supervisors should lead by example, however there are also situations where the supervisor should delegate to the people under them instead of doing it themselves. A balance is needed for effectiveness and efficiency.

2.
For you, a job where things are not predictable is better than a job where they are predictable.
Agree Disagree
Agree, no job is totally predictable, unless you are doing something mind numbingly boring. However some structure or routine is also useful in most jobs, there needs to be clear processes and expectations for things to happen effectively.

3.
Most people will tell some lies to be successful in their work.
Agree Disagree
This is tricky as I dont know whether it will be seen as justification for you to lie or not. I am erring on the side of disaggreeing, on the basis that one would like to think that those who lie to be successful are caught out, and really as a pizza worker all you care about is the honesty of your co-workers, not most people in general.

4.
At work, most people do right rather than wrong only because they fear being caught.
Agree Disagree
Again, I err on dissagree, as one would like to think most poeple are in thier job because they want to do that work and so do right rather than wrong because of moral integrity and they actually want to support the company.

5.
You hate to lose an argument even when the issue is not very important.
Agree Disagree
Disagree, people do not want to hire headstrong stubborn people for most roles, they need people who can pick which battles to fight and see where it might be better to back off.

6.
People focus too much on your weaknesses and ignore your strengths.
Agree Disagree
Disagree, it is up to you to use your strengths and let your strengths show through and override your weaknesses. Agreeing would support the notion that people have reason to be critical of you.

7.
It is difficult for you to make casual conversation with people.
Agree Disagree
I think the desired answer here is disagree, however as this is a key shortfall with aspergers/autism, unless you are actually ok in this area, you are not going to be able to justify agreeing with this. So, disagree on the basis that you are a focused indiviual whose priority is getting the job done and communicating with customers in a friendly, efficient and professional way, not in a casual way.

8.
If you put more into a job than they are willing to pay you, you are cheating yourself.
Agree Disagree
Disagree, as they dont want you to feel the company owes you when you stay 10 minutes late to finish something. But there is a limit to how much above and beyond your job description you want to go before you actually are cheating yourself. I think they dont want you to be keeping score of what you have done verses what you have been paid.

9.
You have days in which it seems that everything goes wrong.
Agree Disagree
Agree, everyone has those days - you are honest. Or disagree if you are an insanely optimistic and positive person.

10.
You handle criticism better than most people.
Agree Disagree
Agree, they dont want someone who will fall appart when a customer gets pissed off.

11.
You tend to delay (or put off) things that need to be done.
Agree Disagree
Disaggree, you need to be reliable and proactive - especially able to action directions and prioritise work loads

12.
Doing more than is expected of you is usually a waste of time.
Agree Disagree
Disagree, you are generating good will, supporting the company and may learn from the experience

13.
A job is mostly a way to earn a living.
Agree Disagree
Disagree, a job is part of life, it will contribute to your experiences, knowledge, skills, relationships and future opportunities

14.
You would rather have predictability than frequent change in your work.
Agree Disagree
Disagree, things are always changing and they do now want people who resist that

15.
Because you have so many problems of your own, you have little interest in the problems of others.
Agree Disagree
Disagree, they do not want someone who brings their problems to work or is wrapped up in their own problems.

16.
At work, you find it difficult to discuss differences of opinion without getting into an argument.
Agree Disagree
Disagree, you are pleasant and agreeable to be around. You will calmly and rationally discuss differences of opinion without getting into aggressive or passive behaviour. You are accepting of others differences.

17.
At work, far too many people try to take as much as they can and give back as little as possible.
Agree Disagree
Hmm, maybe err on the side of disagree, you like to believe most humans are ok and like their job, however it is natural for people to want to maximise their benefits, but you are very focused on giving back.

18.
You feel that so far, you have made the right decisions in life.
Agree Disagree
Agree, you are not going to have a bad attitude or make stupid decisions on the job. Not all decisions are right, but they were what you thought was right at the time.

19.
In most work situations, people take more than they give.
Agree Disagree
Disagree, most people like to believe people like to contribute

20.
In most sales jobs, customers act like they are better than the sales person.
Agree Disagree
Agree, the customer is king.

Okay, for the rest of the 100 questions.....

No really I did it and I don't want anyone else to have to lol I'm not making this about being able or not to answer the questions, it just seems as if some of the questions would be hard for an autistic person to answer without ToM. So if you want to talk about that that would be cool, otherwise I don't wish to finish the questionnaire or talk about the answers to it.

I can understand why people here are saying to try and game the test, but if this is designed to filter aspies out, I would rather fail by answering honestly, than cheat my way into a job where I'll be miserable.

I agree. I wasn't suggesting anyone game the test, just noting that gaming the test is basically the "correct" way to take it, in the mind of the employer.

Actually I would wonder, if given one of these tests, if the management was at all competent. They shouldn't need questionnaires to get a sense of people, or at least, not for something like a pizza delivery driver.

Fair enough if the job really is unsuitable, I just get annoyed when these things are used to exclude workers who would actually be fine in the job, but are a bit different in other ways so they don't actually get a chance based on a poor version of 20 questions

I also think it's a weird test for a pizza delivery driver. I would have thought more pertinant questions would be:

Can you drive? (Automatic and or manual gearshift)

Can you read and write to an appropriate level?

Can you read a map and follow directions?

Are you familiar with the local area?

Are you proficient dealing with money?

Logical things that actually have something to do with the job.....

Your applying to a chain (probably national) pizza place.

These tests aren't designed specifically to filter out aspies; they also want to filter out egomaniacs, narcissistic people, lazy bastards, etc
