World of Warcraft- Mists of Pandaria *trigger warning*

Love it or hate it, WoW is here to stay, if the GW2 beta has taught me anything its that one fact. I signed up for the year pass last Christmas for the mount and beta access but really kinda stopped playing in April. Told myself I was WoW-free but now I'm finding myself (very slowly) patching the beta which I've neglected for a loooong time. Pet battles weren't in and the whole thing was buggy as hell. I'm not super hyped yet at the same time I'm finding myself looking forward to this. Oh WoW ..sneak your venomous claws into me again won't you, even after I bitched about your pvp in the mmo topic .
We're probably going to see a late August or September release and everything is honestly shaping up to look pretty nice, as far as WoW expansions go. More of the same game we've been playing since '05 but we all keep coming back after all. Personally I'm most excited for -
-Pet battles
-Account bound mounts(WOO!! !), pets, and achievements.
-Pet battles
-AWESOME looking challenge mode armor that I will probably never get because I've alienated myself away from every guild or person I use to play WoW with.
-Pet battles.
-Awesome Chinese themed stuff.
-AOE looting
-Pandas!
-Warlocks getting awesome new minions and cool looking spells but still not being fun to play!
And last, but most certainly not least..did I mention that this expansion will introduce..PET BATTLES!! !! ! YOU CAN CATCH WILD CRITTERS JUST LIKE ITS POKEMON AND YOU CAN TRAIN THOSE 100s OF PETS YOU'VE SPENT MORE TIME AND MONEY ON THAN ACTUAL RAIDING!! ! YEAAH!! WOOOO PET BATTLES!!
Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. Let's try to keep discussion positive, playful bitching or complaining/venting about a patch or class is fine but let's not turn this into the official "WOW RUINED MY LIFE" or "WOW PVP IS A MESS, ARGHHHHH" topic. Yes we probably agree with you, just don't want to make this topic too negative.

Sick! Pandas are my second favorite animal!! !! If I wanted play WoW, I'd totally get this expansion. I just don't like the idea of paying money for an online game(even though a friend and I were going to start Diablo 3)
The reason I don't want to play

Here here, I'm not terribly excited for questing again either. Assuming I play, I'll probably just explore a few zones, doing quests while I'm queued for dungeons. I only have 2 max level characters, I -might- level a druid or priest, but I really don't know, highly doubtful.
At least pet battles look really fun:

I'm semi-excited about redone SM and Scholomance too, they were my favorite dungeons. I hope challenge funs are fun because the reward gear looks very sweet, can't decide if I want to work on my mage or warlock. I don't have to worry about mounts and achievements anymore when switching to another character and a lot of the new warlock stuff looks very cool yet I'm hearing lots of negative stuff on beta, like destro has a long ramp up time. Demo looks really cool.
My biggest problem with warlock, especially after playing mage, is that the class is simply too much effort for the kind of dps that is either equal to or a bit lower than another class. PVP just wasn't as fun either but the people I played with swore I was killing a lot of stuff as affliction, it just feels more hectic. Mage has a lot of quality of life stuff too, portals for one, well..mainly portals. All 3 specs have the potential to be good fun too, I loved frost pvp, though I do not care for the heavy rng with fire. Warlock is just cooler, was my first character but its harder and not in a rewarding way. I hope that changes with MOP.

I'm excited to fight with my awesome D3 fetish pet

Funnily enough, water looks to be the most powerful type..just like in pokemon. Lots of resistances, will probably be bulky/tanky and lots of types are weak to them. All the best pokemon are water types, such as Starmie, Politoed, Tentacruel, Vaporeon etc I could go on all day. It will be both funny and sad if this is repeated in poke-wow.

Wolpertinger (Trust me, he's there! Just have a couple shots...)
Willy
Mini-Diablo
Phoenix Hatchling
Sinister Squashling
Is it sad that the first thing I saw when I looked at that list was "Wobuffet" instead of Wolpertinger? You just reminded me that I have to go back to farming for my phoenix now! I've already gotten two white hawkstriders but no mini-pet. I love phoenixes too

My 5-man team:
Wolpertinger (Trust me, he's there! Just have a couple shots...)
Willy
Mini-Diablo
Phoenix Hatchling
Sinister Squashling
I suppose Wolpertinger would be a normal type, Willy would be...dark/flying? Mini-Diablo is a clear fire type, and a bit tanky. The blue dragonhawk I can see as flying type, possibly with ice or water. Sinister Squashling would prob be a plant/dark hybrid.
I thought about switching out the Phoenix Hatchling for the Blue Dragonhawk Hatchling, reckoning that it would be better for the team balance, but then I realized I was probably starting to think a little too far into it. Ashes of Alar is still the BADDEST ASS mount around, though. All this talk about pet battles got me nostalgic, so I browsed through all the new pets and mounts, still nothing compares.
I never did get my Raven Lord....hundreds of runs, the bastard just never dropped for me! My no. 1 ground mount still as well.

I've been farming that thing for 3 years nearly. I got my baron mount on my warlock, won a roll for a white hawkstrider, WON another hawkstrider on my mage..and then finally got my reins on my mage. I remember I screamed out loud when it dropped. That is without a doubt my favorite land mount and I'm so happy I'll have it on ALL my characters now.

Ignore my addon, I just installed the tracker a month or so ago prior to this kill. I've killed Anzu many, many times..
Reins......is that this one?

I still prefer Ashes, though. What could possibly be more awesome than this?

Well, I did say the most badass ground mount

Also I'd like to note I a spent the bulk of my WoW career as horde, only reason I'm alliance in that shot is because me and some old friends thought we were going to gank tons of people and be as*holes. I even switched my warlock to...worgen, but look more like a sewer rat with boobs. I'll switch back to horde with both characters when MOP comes out.
Funny how the two best mounts (Raven Lord and Ashes of Al'ar) came from BC. I played Horde only, never once experienced the Alliance side. I know about Stormwind from.....when I stormed it during capital raids!
I had an 80 UD priest and 80 UD rogue before I quit. Good times with those two...I'm fairly certain that the most fun I ever had playing WoW was leveling up my rogue in STV on a PvP server during Vanilla. That place was like Viet-fuckin-nam, and I loved it. I could spend hours stalking the jungle and ganking allis. Ashenvale Forest gets a special mention here, especially with the music (I have it on mp3 and still listen to it). As well, it was the first real contested zone you got to get down and dirty in too. Lotta dead Night Elves!
Aren't the Worgen racials pretty OP, though? You might look like a furry, but you're a furry that comes with a free sprint!

The dash one is kind of nice but I think the human racial is the best, by far. Only reason I didn't go and change my warlock to human was because I already had two others. Horde side my warlock was an orc and I think those are the best racials for 'locks. Panderan will probably be really good too, but nothing can really compete with EMFH. My favorite races to play are orcs, blood elves and tauren. I swear I'm the only person that likes the female tauren model, I love their silly moo-cow expression. Orcs are just badass and yes I do like prissy pretty things too so blood elves -do- appeal to me as well.
The only horde model I flat out HATE are trolls, its really not fair. The dudes get awesome looking dudes with big tusks that look like mutated bunnies from hell but girls got the short end of the stick, I swear..they just look really dumb. Its weird because I think female orcs are awesome, yet I can't bring myself to play a troll.

God yes, the human PvP pick-a-trinket racial, nothing quite like giving someone a racial that allows them to swap it around to suit whatever situation they need, and which improves with every increase in iLvl. Orcs, on the other hand, get blood fury, which barely keeps up with lower-tier trinkets. AND you don't get to swap it around whenever you want! Really, the two racials don't even begin to compare. Gotta admire your taste in warlocks, though. I always thought the classic orc warlock represented the real Horde warlock race. Gul'dan and all that, you know.
Speaking of trolls, I always liked Warcraft's take on trolls, quite unique really. Can't say trolls from any other setting are similar. And berzerking, way better racial than blood fury. Scales AND has the added bonus of making your spells faster!

Well, I met more from a pve perspective. I think horde warlocks have the best pve racials, with blood fury (extra spell damage) and the passive increase to pet damage. The human racial is unrivaled for pvp and its actually quite nice to have for pve too, if a boss has fear or some form of CC. I agree, orc is the best because of Gul'dan and my warlock was supremely awesome looking too, she looked very demented in her tier 5 armor.
I agree, I do love warcraft's trolls, I just think the female ones look lame. Yes, I'm superficial, I know. The males look and sound awesome though.
