I used to love seeing them in art classes at school, seeing them sat on the sides. I never really got to use them :( I would always just stare at all the different colours and the glitter in some of them.

I do like bendy metal wire. We've got some downstairs on some fake flowers, and I'm always bending that around :P

well the kind that are made for doing craft are nice and soft and good for rubbing on your face, but the real kind that are made for actually cleaning pipes are not so good

Pipe cleaners were my absolute favorite craft item when I was little, along with pompoms and sheets of brightly colored foam.
I still love how the pipe cleaners feel against my skin.

I've been thinking of buying some pipe cleaners to do some crafts with. :)

I remember those from when I was little. They do feel rather nice... The texture reminds me of the camo blanket and pillow my friend's mother bought me.

Actually a girl who has known me since kindergarten says that the only thing she remembers about me at that age is that I always had a pipe cleaner in my hand where ever I went. I'm a tactile stimmer......I usually played with string......but it was probably taken away from me in the kindergarten classroom.

Craft-style pipe cleaners are good fun. They can also be used to tie things up a la twist ties or string

Yeah, are they still really sharp on the ends like they were back in the 80s? Or has OHS gotten its hands on them, so to speak...

Was all about them as a kid, until I was threatened with grounding for life after getting into my dad's one too many times.
