I have these repeating thoughts and memories everyday of my life since I was 18. I repeat conversations in my head over and over again that I had. I also repeat random events that happen in my life. I told this to my psychiatrist a couple times and she keeps saying its anxiety. I think it's echolallie or OCD. What are your thoughts?

What sort of conversations? What sort of events?

I have an old habit that I've done since I was kid, where I imagine talking to people that I might talk to in the future, as a sort of "practice round" so that I can think of things to say.
I think it's just one of those subtle little things I learnt to do to offset my natural awkwardness in conversation, even though I never knew about autism until recently.

I had thought of echolalia as a similar thing, repeating words to make them easier to understand??
And in the case of OCD, people would usually justify their strange habits with (often illogical) reasons and ultimatums, so that they would have to do it.

The conversations can be about anything. And the events
The same.

Also my head hurts when being around people or when people talk.

Well, without any other information, I would agree with your doctor that it's an anxiety thing.

^^^ I do this all the time.
I also have thoughts repeating over and over in my head as if in a loop. I don't know if it's anxiety or just zoning out.

I have the same thing.
It's an OCD-anxiety thing with the mainproblem anxiety.

I have the exact same thing, but in my case it started after a trauma and I repeat simmilar events in my head over and over, so that I can be sure nothing bad is gonna happen.

At least in my case (I'm also repeating conversations in my head over and over) it's related with intrusive thoughts and kind of OCD connected, but still mainly an anxiety thing.

The conversation can be an hour old to 3 years old. The memories the same. They can be up to 3 years sometimes older. I can be washing the dishes or cleaning or doing any other productive thing, even just walking and they pop up.

If there's no pattern to the things that you recall, like if they aren't traumatic or something bothering you, then it might just be a side effect of stress in general.
You seem fairly precise about time though. Do you go back and count how many years ago something happened when you think of it? And it all started when you were 18? Did something happen then, or is that just a vague date? What change happened in your life to cause this problem to appear?
