I love all the old systems and games. My favorite is the NES and i love playing super mario 3 ever since i was a ,kid. I also like pinball and ice hockey for the NES. I really enjoy Mario world 1 and 2 for the SNES as well along with Bonkers.

Do you like to play classic games?

Yeah I do like classic gaming.
There should have been a thread about this somewhere, not your fault.
Welcome.
I normally do go back to those games when there was no people to game with online and games were a little challenging.

Yeah, most of what I play on my PSP(I get around a lot so I mainly use this) is either PS1 remakes or original PS1 games from pSN

I remember when cross platform games were different games altogether from each other :) like Bonkers lol.
The classics defined a lot of the genres. They are usually the ones I go back to esp. on PS1, Gameboy and SNES.

Mega Drive games.

Some really under appreciated gems on the system, just as Rocket Knight Adventures and the Virgin Disney made games.

I have games like Alissia Dragoon, Chakan (SEGA) and Pier Solar (a 2010 Mega Drive game).

I would like to see what Warhog Zwei plays like as well as Panorama Cotton (Japanese game).

Oh and Heart of Darkness....PLAY IT!

I haven't played any new video games since 2005. Have they really gotten easier?

What I like about old 2D games -primarily of the SNES console- is the limitations you have to work with. Like, you can't sidestep, you have to jump over that Goomba or Pirana Plant to move on, and if you can't muster the skill to pull that off, you've only got 2 lives left.

So yeah, even as late as 3 years ago, I'd occasionally whip out my SNES and play games like Mario All Stars or Double Dragon, stuff like that. A whole range, platforming games, fighting games, racing even, but yeah, I agree the challenge is a bit bigger when you can't move into that third dimension. I mean arguably racing games (and Star Fox) were 3D in those days, but really, when you think about it, it's just the car or the ship attached to the screen, and you looking at it from behind being able to stear it left, right, up, or down. It's a fairly simple principle that was enhanced by the SNES "FX chip", but it was enough to provide some challenging gameplay.

Oh heck yeah! lol.....I love the classics because I grew up with them. I miss the days of blowing into a cartridge with hopes that it'll load up when the power was turned on. Even more I miss having to fiddle with the loading mechanism on a front loading NES just to have it read the game. (jamming something in there so the cart would go all the way down lol) Go figure, my rigged up Atari 2600 still works and it's 30 years old! Maybe Microsoft and Sony should take lessons!
Well the year now is 2012 and the need to own one of these old systems to play any one of the thousands of titles is not required. I have game system emulators on just about every device I own. Pocket PCs running Windows Mobile have all the classics. My Android devices have it all from N64 down. I even play old Atari and NES games on my Nintendo Ds with the special cart! :)

Absolutely positively. They are my favorite games. I love classic pc gaming just as much, if not more. I could go on and on about my favorite oldschool gen/snes/nes/pc games.
