The government cutbacks is just depressing me, and I just don't know what they're going to axe next. It would just be so nice to have government that are able to run this country properly, and then I can feel more secure living in my own country, rather than on edge and having a million bad thoughts going round and round in my head, like worrying that they might bring out a new law saying that everybody in council houses will have to get out so they can give them to the foreigners or rich people to own, and then I would be turfed out of my comfort zone and on to the streets, or in some building for homeless people, and I wouldn't feel at home in places like that, not with my anxieties, sensory issues and strict routine function.

Also, my mum is about to lose her job and there's very slim chance that the company she works for will get took over, and my dad is working under the council and so is on a contract, but if he loses that then there could be trouble (don't quite know all the ins and outs of that). Also they are threatening to stop my job-seekers money if I don't take jobs that they offer, but they keep sending me job details through email in places that I can't get to or full-time jobs what aren't what I'm looking for, so I suppose this means that the government just want to get everybody off the dole.

It goes round in a very vicious circle - the government cuts back all these important services and businesses, throws people on the dole then wonders why they're on the dole and want to get them off as soon as they can by sending them to places they don't want to go to (due to different personal circumstances), and calling everyone who claim benefits ''scroungers''. I actually find it rather demeaning. I really wish this country could be ran properly, and make millions of people feel more secure and happy.

f**k you, David Cameron. I hope you f*****g die.

I know what you mean. I live in America, and it's the same story. :(

This is what happens when people fall for conservative lies and vote them into power. All about the private companies and the banks, public sector is just seen as a nuisance by them. I doubt foreigners will get prioritized housing though, where I live those who are homeless, over crowded, or expecting a child get the priority. With the billions of pounds spent preparing for the Olympics, expect more cut backs to appear in the future. We seem to be copying the American model, and look how well that's working out for them and their citizens.

Since you are diagnosed, I would strongly recommend applying for ESA as you wont have to deal with the forceful pressure they put you under when on JSA. I know some other people that have been on it that have been treated like dirt, checking every job they apply for as if they are making it up etc. Also, every adviser has a set target of people they have to get off JSA every week, otherwise their own job is put at risk for not meeting the target. So they look for any excuse to put people off it.

The lib/lab/con is a mere management machine - we are part of a globalised system now and until people realise this fact nothing can be changed. We gave away our means of producing real wealth years ago, now we have a service economy going nowhere except down the toilet. Austerity cannot prop up a rotten system. Cutbacks cannot bail out the derivative casino that still runs rampage. All politicians do is say pretty words to the camera and wrap themselves in the union jack and pretend it means something.

I agree with the OP, the Conservatives represent those who already have the means to help themselves while those from a lower socio-economic background are simply there to be stepped on. I'm glad that I live in Scotland where we are slightly insulated from the hack and slash policy of the ConDems.

Economics are complicated. I don't believe that either party is offering a real solution. One side is giving corporations carte blanche to do anything they want, whereas one side wants the government to care for everything.

What we need is some good old fashioned libertarian economics.

To be honest, I wouldn't piss on any of the main three if they were on fire.

Same here, that's why I only ever vote for independent candidates or the SNP!

I voted labour last time and I will again. I hate tory government, because they just want to support the rich.

Life is great in the UK.
Tell you what, why don't we meet in a nice, quiet area so that it's not too stressful for you from the noises of everyday life for you?
What do you think? I don't like seeing you upset like this.
Plus around my area isn't near as noisy or crowded and could help in terms of financially getting yourselves back on your feet.

I don't know about anything about living in the UK, but I do know you should be thankful you don't live in Texas, Florida, or Mississippi. I live in Indiana where the benefits for the disabled leave something to be desired.
