Have you ever been blocked by people who were friends on fb?

I get blocked by others often on facebook, and often I do nothing (or it seems that way). I don't understand why it would happen, and I am trying to find people I relate too.

my ex boyfriend blocked me for this:

him: oh you're getting an iPad? what kind?
me: yes

the next day he blocked me.

My brother-in-law blocked me once because I'd objected to something my sister had posted on Facebook about my daughter. (although since he also deleted me off his friends list, I'm not sure if that counts)

Well, tbh I dont blame him, I mean he was only asking a question about ur iPad and just replying with "Yes" when he asked "What kind?" just sounds really ignorant and strange.

Well, deleting and blocking is also what I meant

my girlfriend restricted me because she was seeing someone else.
even though she said she missed me and promised me all sorts and she did this whilst i was in hospital basicly fighting for my life! she isnt the person i thought she was and it did cause me alot of pain and still does. this is why im so bad at dating now i think my mind has been hurt too much i dont even try to find someone

It may be worth pointing out that it's not so easy to be sure you were blocked unless. Facebook experiences glitches all the time where people just temporarily disappear and re-appear a few days-weeks later. Sometimes the Facebook API (used by apps) also reports different friend data than the Facebook UI shows to the user! It's also possible that the person deactivated their account. So you can only be sure if you've waited a couple of weeks and you still can't see the person, but other people can. Or if they've told you "I'm blocking" you, but I doubt anyone does that.

My Bf gets blocked a lot because he offends people at school or his posts are offending to some.

A couple ex friends blocked me because they saw me like I was some sort of maniac. UGH.

Can you give us some examples of things you say right before someone blocks you?

I know someone who gets blocked a lot because he goes off half cocked all the time and is a rude, foul mouthed person.

Similar to me. One or two people wont accept my friend request even though I dont talk to them on FB I just add for the sake of it.

Really, i laugh at them at how pathetic they are, just because I add you does not mean I go on ur page all the time, I actually could not give a S*"T about their lives. Really I know some people who are so up themselves that if a certain person like their statuse sa lot, they think they are stalking them or something. Please get over yourself, if anyone on here is like this.

Eh, I've been blocked over having different religious or political views, saying something that offended someone, arguing with someone, because we got into a real life argument, because they got in a real life argument with my kids, etc.

I've also blocked other people for the same reason (other than the different religious or political views thing, I have no problem with people having different beliefs than me)

There are 37 staff in my office department...one as added me and i added two of them rest of them are not interested...and no i wont approach them either.

Many childhood friends dont want to add me they straight away ignored my friend request....

I've been blocked on FB a few times! You can check because if you look at your sent message list, their names appear in grey and you can't access their profile.
This did disturb me a lot, I decided that they didn't want me to be FB friends, but then why not just unfriend, rather than block? Or better still just say that you don't want to be friends anymore. This I found really creepy and I became fixated on what I may have done that was offensive to them.

One time it happened after I had sent a multiple post to two people with the same surname who were both involved in performances of the same show, in the same region and I asked if they knew each other or were related.

Having said this, I am very used to people finding me weird and not wish to continue interacting with me, I just wish they would say so, is it too much to ask?

To me, being blocked on Facebook is the biggest insult of them all.

I agree. They break my heart and make me angry.
