Ok, so there's this boy I've known since 5th grade, and I've started liking him since 6th grade. I'm for sure it's normal for an Aspie to like someone, but the thing is, he's pretty much the only person who's company I've 100% enjoyed. I don't remember a time when he was around I wish he wasn't there. Even when I'm purposely away from other people for my "alone time" I'm wishing he was there with me. When he's around, I feel...kinda safe.
Is this normal for an Aspie to feel this way towards someone they really like, knowing that most (I'm not going to try to label all Aspies, knowing all Aspies are different) Aspies don't have great social skills?

Some people can get through the "bubble" sometimes. Or so I've read.

Aspies do make exceptions for people they trust a lot or really care about :) so yeah, normal.

Yep. Such people are worth holding on to, whether that be as friends or otherwise.

Totally. Don't let those people out of your lives without good reason!

That's "normal" for us, I guess. I've got a few people I feel that way towards. I've known most of them for a large percentage of my life.
