My experience is actually pretty funny, although I didn't think it was at the time. When I was 15, I was training to become a lifeguard. We had to do this one exercise, where one person goes under the water and the other has to dive down, wrap their arm around him or her, and then pull them up. I was working with this one girl, and I was a bit uncomfortable about working with her, since I would be wrapping my arm around her  . Before we started, I turn to her and say "Sorry if I accidentally touch your breasts under the water". She turns to me and yells "DON'T SAY BREASTS IT'S AWKWARD! SAY BOOBS!! !" I felt really embarrassed, but nowadays, I think it's a hilarious story. I told my therapist about it once, he actually started to laugh really hard.

So, anyone else want to share their story?

I said a lot of awkward things to girls.
One day in school i was going to my classroom and then i saw a girl that i liked, and my classmates knew that (btw i don't know how they knew that), they wanted me to talk to her. I said no! i don't know what to say! until one of them called her and said that someone wanted to know her. god dam!! :?

Then my aspie mind turned on,my mouth opened by itself, and the only thing i said was: do you need help in math?
She was like 8O wtf, and ran away. xD

Most awkward thing? Hmm. Probably the time that a mutual friend introduced me to this girl then said she had to go do something and walked away. I didn't know what to say, and I was nervous, so I started rambling about the most recent developments in science. I guess the large hadron collider and nucleotide analogues don't exactly turn on prospective mates.

I attend a girls' school, so I've gained some experience regarding embarrassing situations. However, I don't always see why something I said was awkward: I once noticed that a classmate of mine didn't wear make-up (which was surprising since she usually did), so I said, "So you didn't put on any make-up today." Apparently this was not nice, as she almost screamed at me, "How dare you say that?!" - I still don't get it.

I also tried to do some chitchat on a class trip and asked a random girl how her father was doing. Unfortunately, he had just died.

This is a very entertaining thread that I unfortunately have nothing substantial to add to.

I will say that 8th grade sex ed sure was something.

I used to be really clueless and would be honest with girls. "Why are you wearing that? Why does your hair look like that?"

A girl on my previous school came up to me during lunch break and said "You have really pretty eyes", to which I responded "I think I hear the bell".

I had to hide for 15 minutes

I'm not sure if this sounds this awkward, but I go to boarding school and there was a school social, and theres this girl I kind of have a thing for her, I went on most of night avoiding her, But finally I drew the courage to talk to her, and I yelled out her name, but when doing that, I unfortunately when doing that, I had a voice break, good way to kick off things hey... Anyway, so then I didn't know what to say, so there was a pause, then I just said "Were we supposed to be hear at 7? Because we got hear at 6:53" Then she said "Um, Okay.." then walked off, It was pretty embarrassing and awkward, The rest of my night was spent with the boarding house teachers so I didn't to show my face to her or her friends, haha...
