! !! Guy friend in the hospital again ! !!
Long story short after being in the hospital for depression/psychosis I met a guy who is 6 years older than me. I learnt that he has a good post graduate education and has held good jobs in the field. He was totally honest about his mental issues as well. I found out this week that he got put in the hospital again for getting in an argument with his brother. So I called the hospital and got a call today and said I wanted to visit him. However my mom advises against me getting involved with this guy and that he could take out his anger on me.
The thing is I know what it's like to go 'crazy', hear voices, be totally paranoid, and I know the feeling of wanting to fight with people (tho I never have physically besides well my family when I was a kid).
Is it a bad idea to go and visit this guy, who I met in the same place? Should I go against my parents wishes. My heart says yes, and I've been around him before. Some people calm him down by talking him down from anger, and I know he considers me a positive person in his life so I don't want to let him down.
By the way, I've ranted on here a lot before, mostly about semi delusional 'issues'. I suspect I don't really have an autism spectrum disorder, but a schizophrenic tendency caused by brain damage when I was born premature and had a lot of fevers and illnesses when I was a baby.
On that note, I can tell when people I meet are good spirited because they have good intentions toward me. I've met 3 people like this in my life including this guy. I have recently in the past 2 months met a guy at work who was creepy, stalks me around at work and on the way home. Yes, he followed me down 80% of my route home, memorized one of the roads I turn down and I luckily evaded him that day. ughhh He gave me chills and I could tell the Holy Spirit was telling me to stay far far away from that guy because he lacks judgement for his actions. The other day he rubbed his groin against me in the locker room as I was opening my locker, without saying excuse me or anything. Really creepy. But anyways, the guy I met in the hospital, I can tell has judgement and doesnt want to hurt me. I was the one who had to make a lot of effort to keep in contact with him because I could tell he as a good spirit and needs a stable friend in his life.
Anyways I consider this guy a kindred spirit and almost like a guardian angel in my life so not going to visit him is almost blasphemous to my own spiritual code. I want to do the right thing and I feel like visiting him when he is down is a good thing. I think I can be one of the people to remind him to keep his calm.
Also I am an adult, I know how to drive, theres nothing stopping me except that the car I drive is my mom's and she will go ballistic if I take it without her permission to see this guy. ***okay rant is over*** Thanks.
Oh i forgot to add. I need people's opinion on this. Is this bad judgement of me to get involved with a guy with issues? My heart says I should keep this person in my life.
No one goes into the hospital for getting into an argument with their brother. Please clarify.

i just need some advice. is it a bad idea to be involved with this guy? am i being naive?
in my opinion, to answer your questions: yes and yes. he's not able to handle his anger appropriately, and to such a severe degree that he has been hospitalised for someone's safety (his own or his brother's? not sure, but either way he is clearly a danger to someone).
if he can get his issues under control, i don't see why it could be a bad idea to start a relationship at that point. but right now, he has mental health stuff to work through. i think your mind might already be made up though.

Two problems, archraphael.
1. You think he's been fighting with his brother. If you really don't know why he was hospitalized, it behooves you to learn a lot more about this person as he can be inherently dangerous.
2. When people fight I don't necessarily think about hospitals being involved unless someone got hurt. I usually see the police being involved and jail time being handed out.
Again, this whole situation with this guy is so sketchy to me I'd turn and walk the other way.

Well see met him in the hospital. I just visited him today. He doesn't seem rattled by whatever happened but I think he is fighting with his family and they are calling the cops when it gets heated and they railroad him into the hospital. SO I went over there and it felt very right that i saw him again because it just feels good when im around him, like hes one of my soul family. I'm glad i did. And I got to know him quite a bit as I've kept in contact since we were in the hospital together months ago.
Who says you cant find love in a hopeless place! ;/
