Audio Engineering
Anyone else going to/in school for sound? It's something that interests me greatly. I plan to take a course at RECW and get my degree in audio engineering at Devry once I get my student loans worked out. My dream is to work at a major recording studio or label like Electric Lady or Epic and travel the world to record music. I'd love to start my own hip-hop/rock label someday. Anyone work in audio? What do you like about it? I've been researching these things quite a bit as of late. I can't wait til I get a car and get student loans so I can fulfill my dreams
here's some cool videos I found on the Audio Engineering Society:

I've engineered before. Even had my own studio in midtown Manhattan years ago. It was pretty intensive. You'll learn a lot and go places if you stick with it.

waveforms, sound opens up an incredible world.
i got into it via short wave radio, built simple little notch and pass filters using IC's, op amps etc, all many years ago. The film 'The Conversation' had Gene Hackmann doing the same thing...... I beat him to it ! !
the maths was always way beyond my ability, but it leads into things like standing waves, both electrical and mechanical.
Base your life on what you know, have achieved, be careful of dreams ....
