By deciding that being myself was in my best interest. I have no desire to be a clone of people who are too much into the next coming century for me.

My life happened, including a few things I chose, and a bunch of things which were not up to me.

Huh? Where is b u and when did I go there? (I actually thought that for half this page.... sigh)

IMHO we are a combination of instincts, past learning, and executive decisions. How one becomes who they are is a question of the strength of each of those parts, how they are nurtured, and which you want to be stronger.

First, my mom gave birth to me. After that, they instilled various belief systems into me about society, politics, our culture, education, employment, what it means to be human, etc. Some of these ideas are deeply ingrained into me. Some of them I have overcome. For the ones I overcome, I realize that those ideas did not fit me, and I needed to change.

That is how I became the person I am today.

I thought he meant Baylor University. Once I realized that wasn't it, I came to the conclusion that the expression of the question rendered the time and effort to answer a waste of time.

i have always been a weird, quiet, introverted person who does not like interacting with people unless i need to. i find trying to communicate with people is too much hard work. a lot of people are quite frankly not worth talking to because they do not accept people who are different to them.

I thought about Boston University, too, a little while after I posted my response. I also thought about Brigham Young, but that would be BYU, not BU.
