Ashtiel Holmes isn't my real name, but it works for this site. Ashtiel is a combination of my real name and "Castiel" from the show Supernatural - which I am completely obsessed with.

In addition to loving Supernatural, I also love Harry Potter, Sherlock, Doctor Who, and Stephen King. I'm currently in my last year at junior college and I am transferring to a state school next fall, which is where I will be studying Zoology. In addition to going to school, I work part time at my college as an English tutor and a student assistant. While I like my job, having to help people for hours is the single most exhausting thing ever. I have almost no energy by the time I get home.

Anyway, I stumbled upon this forum one day after googling if people also had a fear of talking on the phone (just out of curiosity if that afflicted anyone else) and lo and behold! I found an entire forum of people just like me. I can safely say that for the first time, I feel like I belong. As I have always felt like an outsider looking in, it feels good to be a part of the "in" crowd for the first time.

Now, I've never been officially diagnosed with Aspergers. Why? My mother doesn't think there's anything wrong with me. She thinks I'm just a unique individual who has a lot of quirks. She doesn't seem to realize that these "quirks" are really just a part of Aspergers. Oh well...My best friend and my boss at work are aware of how I am (Both have asked if I was on the spectrum after getting to know me...So I guess it's obvious to everyone but the woman who raised me).

Live I've said, I'm really happy to have found this place and I look forward to getting to know some people here
