Does anyone else here listen to any of these sort of bands?

Just wondering, considering this is one of my fave music genres (Along with AOR and Prog Rock like Kansas, 707, and Starcastle)

I listen to 80s music, and the station I listen to features a lot of those bands.

Slave to the grind from Skid Row is a good album, I listened to Holy Diver and The last in line alot from Dio. I saw QR last summer, it wasn't Rudy nor Carlos on bass and guit so it was so so ...

I wouldn't really say that I like hair metal, so much as I laugh at the cheese factor.

Mind you some of those you listed do have a few good songs.

Seems that most of what I enjoy is Thrash and Death Metal And yes, I know that can be just as cheesy, if not more so.

I never knew they were Hair Metal, until this topic. I thought they were Hard Rock.

I like INXS. Is that Hair Metal?

I don't think INXS is hair metal. They're more New Wave but I still like a few songs of theirs.

I adore hair metal.....but can't say exactly how or why. I don't like it as a joke...but i don't totally <3 it in a serious way either

classics one and all..in fact i'm off to a not entirely serious evening of hair metal tomos night. Its an occasional club night called Spandecks..last time they played Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone...i was a happy man indeed haha

I lived through 'em the first time around, lost my taste for most of them.
That said, I liked Skid Row and Scorpions, tho I wouldn't necessarily put Scorpions into hair metal as they drastically pre-dated it. I liked Quiet Riot up until I was about 13.. Dio, meh. Angry metal jesterdwarf. Only like one or two songs of his. Van Halen was good for quite a while but then they just kinda fizzled out.
