If you have opened this topic, please take a moment to mark the poll truthfully without returning to it at a later time.

Reasoning for this poll will be explained in due time.

If you move the top two options to the bottom (to more accurately reflect when most peoples days are starting and ending) you notice that WP appears to be popular right when people are waking up, slowly dies down through the day then, starting in the evening, builds up right until bedtime, with a little empty stretch during the few hours where the night owls are finally falling asleep and the morning people are not yet awake.

Not enough data points yet to say for certain, of course, but it makes sense. I'd be willing to bet that, if this poll got 100 or so votes, that pattern would become even more apparent.

The aim is to see who reads a random post at any given time. That's why I said (not verbatim) "Using your timezone, what time is it right now?"

Once enough people have read it, I hope to be able to see what time of day would be better for people to post (the ones wishing for a reply)

Even with the reasoning above, though, this poll doesn't make much sense because people are logging in from different timezones. I voted, though.

I think you vote at what time your timezone in local area is.

Its an interesting idea for a poll.

With a lot of members in europe I am always concious of two sets of times and virtually speaking think of the late afternoon as 1st nightime & the time to interact with them. I make a generalized 6 hour mental adjustment with those. With those in asia and Australia, etc I make a generic 12 hour adjustment, but it means one of us is in our morning usually & I don't have a preferred time, just catch as catch can. I have rarely had contact with people in the ground between those, being on the one side mainly ocean (the pacific) and on the other the Middle East and Western Asia. Not too many folks online in places like Afganistan and I have not seen many from India, though I am not sure why, unless PC's and internet access are not common there.
