So, I need some advice on this front.

I used to take Adderall to help with my focus issues (I have ADD on top of Aspergers). The problem is that it killed my normally cheerful personality. That, combined with other non-medicine related issue (I was a stupid ass when it came to my schoolwork) led my parents to discontinue me on it, since it didn't seem to be worth it anymore.

Now, several years later, its becoming clear that I STILL have focus issues. At work, focus is the number one problem cited by my superiors (I'm a good worker otherwise), and I constantly feel like I'm in a haze, with my mind always slipping into my various daydreams. While my daydreams are great for my writings, they just won't stop and some form of them are always running in the back of my head. On top of that, I'm easily distracted, both by my own mind and by other things. I'm scared of what's going to happen when I finally go to college in January.

I can't go back to Adderall. I need my cheerful persona for work (I'm a courtesy clerk at Safeway). Can anyone recommend any medication that I can talk to my doctor about that can help without negatively impacting my personality?

firstly, you should for sure talk to a psychiatrist.

i say that for realsies, not for play play.

i say that secondly because i am surprised adderall had that effect on you. near as i can google, it would increase the amount of dopamine in your brain so that would make one 'feel' more cheerful, yes? that said, perhaps you do not have ADD. or perhaps everyones brain chemistry is different. or perhaps there was another reason for your personality drain back then that you are presently, in your memory, pinning on the adderall. i say 'perhaps' to all of these, because i am 'non-perhaps' a medical expert so see one of those.

I could focus for hours on Adderall, but everyone said I acted spacey like I was in my own world
When I went for my AS evaluation the neuropsychologist tested me with and without Adderall and she determined that my concentration was actually a little worse when I was taking it.
On her recommendation I stopped taking it and everyone noticed an almost immediate improvement in my social behaviors so now I just live with my focus issues because I don't want to go back to the way I was :(
