Note: Sometimes I'm not very good at expressing myself in a simplified way, so I apologize in advance if this ends up being long-winded or all over the place....
Since learning about my Aspergers I have managed to become more aware of things socially, such as how I am perceived by others, which has actually caused me to become quite ashamed. I have come to realize who genuinely cares about me and who doesn't, also how I come off on social networks. In realizing that my "friends/followers" on Facebook/Twitter really don't give a damn about me, and only "kept up" with me to judge/be nosy; and also as part of an attempt to start over/move away/re-create myself, I actually deleted/deactivated all of my social networking accounts and created new ones (except for FB, I'd rather not have an FB account at all). So now with my new Twitter/Instagram accounts, I barely have any followers and only follow celebrities and people that I look up to, and it's actually become quite boring no longer having any "real people" to interact with anymore. But I refuse to reach out to any of the "old" people, and was wondering if anyone here had Twitter or Instagram? I don't care if I come off as desperate; I've done enough browsing on this site to realize that I really fit in and can relate to the people here, and apparently I crave social interaction & a connection to the world and can't let my social networks go all together, so it would be nice to make some new connections, and actually have followers that I can interact with. I'm sure there's someone else here that enjoys social networks and a reasonable amount of social interaction.... Anyone interested can PM me or reply to this post.
