Does anybody else have their own little world, and how does it work for you if you do? I just need to hear that I'm not the only one who makes up her own world and goes into it. I'm also attempting to write one of my little worlds down into a book. Thoughts?

I have always been lost in my own world, and have little time or patience for things that go on in the real world. My imaginary world is populated with all of my favorite fictional characters. I consider them to be my imaginary friends and most of the time I feel more connected to them than to real people.

Much more when I was younger, but yes I live in my head a lot. Now that I'm not forced into social interaction that much, I don't find I need my fantasy world as much. But I still do a lot of inventing and creating. :)

I kind of have my own little augmented reality going on... I mix my own little world with the real world, because if I didn't I would go completely s-a-n-e. Not insane. Sane.

I have my favortie characters from Tron, Big Bang Theory, etc. With me all the time. The overlay of my world is futuristic sci-fi space thing going on, kind of like a texture pack in minecraft, but over the real world. Its amazing how one can alter their own perception of what reality is.

Well I got sick of having an imaginary world that I couldn't live in real life, so I've resolved to inventing most of my fictional elements in real life.

When I was younger I had a very well thought out world with even a map. Many characters with made up names. In fact, Pileo was the last name of one my characters (at the time I thought I made it up but it turns out it's a real name). As I got older that world started to fall to the wayside and looking back, I can see some of the storylines were rather silly.

I still have a bit of a fantasy world but it's not as sci-fi and fantasy oriented.

i really think you should put your thoughts into a book, and there are websites on the net that teach how to write, many writing tips on the net before you start.
yes, i most certainly live in my own world ever since i can remember myself, and there's nothing unusual about it if you're an aspie. in fact, i think most of us do.
i dont think i could deal with life without it.

I like to role play, particularly political simulation. I don't know if that would be considered to be having my own little world or not. Here is the address to my on-line world. http://www.nationstates.net/nation=zavina By the way, this thread reminds me of this song, from Avril Lavigne. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZJzum-2k8g

Political simulation - interesting! I have sort of created something like that. I like Gene Roddenberry's idea of a society without money and like to play around with the idea, wondering if it could work and if so how. :)
