A melody I think about and listen to

I've felt an obsessive interest in a video game song, and in particular, one of its melodies, for eight years.

It's about a long-haired supervillain named Sephiroth, who becomes enraged when he learns that he is different, slaying people to gather spirit energy and become a god. In the final battle he emerges as a seraph who can vanish into thin air and command the forces of nature.

I had long hair at the time, but I'm not evil.

In the background of this battle, an operatic song plays: One-Winged Angel. When the singing is over, a trumpet sounds (2:14 to 2:53 in the song), and this is my favorite melody.

Now, for a person with Asperger's Syndrome, do you think this melody is too ostentatious for me to be listening to and identifying with? Should I give it a rest?
