What ethnicity do I look to you?

Well my paternal great grandfather was adopted and raised by Jews, his ethnicity remains unknown(it was the late 1800s/early 1900s) he was a swarthy short slim man who was hairy. He married a pure Dutch woman(we are from NY, and she was an old Manhattan Dutch conservative), they had my grandmother and she went on to marry my grandfather who is of Irish - Italian and German descent, my was father born as a hybrid of my already mutt grandfather and my grandmother(who was half dutch and whatever my grandfather was).


My mothers father was Irish and English descent, her mother was of mainly Bohemian descent with some Irish.


Judging from my pictures, facial features, etc, what would you say? I have been confused many times for Eastern European, Irish - Italian hybrid and when tan I am thought to be North African.

It has been bothering me, what do you think I am, other than a mutt. If you saw me, what would you guess?

Before I even read your full post I guessed Italian and Scandinavian/Dutch. Italians tan that deep. My husband is mostly Italian and Irish. I'm a mix of Western European Nationalities and Native American (Cherokee).

I was going to say "white" .. I know it's not an ethnic title but I always find it funny when people refer "white" people as "white" LOL
I couldn't help but join in on the ignorance.

So, "white" is my answer

I thought I could see some East European in you.

Lol, I guess it's subjective. It seems everybody thinks I am something different.

Like some posters implied above, your ancestry is most probably East European.

Which features make you assume that?

I cannot specify, it's the total impression. Something about your eyes... the way you fix your eyes when you look at things, which can of course be a photographic effect. But it is a photograph I am looking at, not the real you.

Got $100 and you can have this definitively settled.

I am told that almond shaped eyes are an Eastern European trait, you are not the first to say my eyes have that look.

I was thinking about this? How legit are these things?

I'm not sure...I can't tell......I would say caucasian of some variety though. You have really nice blue eyes.
