Rockstar announced that GTA V Would be delayed by up to 4. New release date is 9/17/2013. So the original date was in May. I'm a but disappointed. I was hoping that it could be released before I go to college so I don't have to worry about doing papers why I'm at it

At least there's a bright side. The extra time would be used to add more features like.....working bus lines as another transportation option or a military base/ some other no-fly zone. Any thoughts?

Well... if I'm correct and GTA V is in beta then they are delaying to mainly patch errors/ bugs / glitches or doing quality checks depending on how long they been in beta. Rarely do betas ever add major game-play features unless it's early beta (fresh out of alpha). Most changes that happen could be described as minor coding or cosmetic. of course i am assuming it's been in beta for months. I've been a beta tester in 5 games (not bragging just expressing past experiences).

But that doesn't mean they are refusing feedback from players. In Online games Betas are good for also getting feedback from your pre-release fanbase for any future patches or updates.

FYI: I am not really going to buy GTA V nor have i ever played any so I never experienced how Rockstar handles it's franchises so i could be gravely wrong indeed.

I still can't beat VC, so it's not a big deal. But Rockstar know how to create a great game, so kudos to them. And if V will be anything like IV, then the wait will be worth it.

If just a little more time adds working buslines and other things that add to realism then it's worth it, but i don't care anyway because on top of that wait i'll have to wait 6 months after release date to a full year for the PC version to appear

Dang. I was looking forward to this to get me through the end of hockey season. Now I find out it arrives the week hockey season starts next year. Oh well, I'm sure the wait will be well worth it!

Hopefully GTA:V will get a perfect or almost perfect score from Gamespot like GTA:IV did.

it is going to be epic it should well and true get a 10 compared to IV. I don't look at IV as I once did what with all the mouth movement in L.A. Noire and that was ages ago.... Games need to step up and gta V will be that game1!!

I hope they don't %^&* it up with this so called realism or add gritty for extra effect they sure did with Max Payne 3 (dumbed down rubbish to rub salt into the wound) RDR and LA noir was bore marginally less so GTA 4 \, though thankfully they where back to form with The Ballard of Gay Tony , :) this "mature realism" path they have taken of late will go the same way as FMV "games" of the 90's did , you mark my words.

R* just needs to do what all of us want them to do set the next GTA in Vice city !

Honestly, I'm pretty glad of this. My library has gotten so big with a ton of unplayed games, I need some time to get through a good chunk of them before I'd want to play GTA V anyway.

Has anybody actually seen anything of the gameplay? Every video just seems to be endless cut-scenes. Still it will be awesome as usual!

A delay in the release of a game is a good thing and will result in a well rounded and complete game with less issues/bugs. You only have to look at oblivion to see the issues of incomplete games or bugs that stop you completing quests/missions (despite it being a huge/complete game it has these problems).
