That would be nice--if it were in Hawaii, or somewhere else that's not severely hurricane-prone. Galveston (about 45 miles from me) has tons of beach houses, but beach erosion is very bad here. The Bolivar Peninsula, only a few miles up the coast (toward Port Arthur), is worse. A 30-mile stretch of State Highway 87 is impassible because of erosion caused by Hurricane Alicia back in 1983.

All of these are too small for me. All houses are. I'd rather live on the African plans somewhere. People think I'm crazy because I want to do this and because I want to do so alone.
