So this is the part where I introduce myself. I'm a 30ish Aspie from the south east USA. I also have Prosopagnosia but I never connected the two before doing some searches here and seeing that is common with people who are ASD. As that isn't enough of a barrel of fun I also am narcoleptic.

I had a job for 10 years where I didn't have to talk to people. It was a crappy job but did I mention the not having to talk to people part? I was laid off 2 months ago and am having a lot of trouble finding another job. The having to talk to people thing.

I only was diagnosed with Narcolepsy and Aspergers two years ago. I go to school part time and am into liberal politics. I'm a scifi fan if you hadn't guessed. 8)

Welcome,

I'm curious, were you actually diagnosed with prospopagnosia in the past, before the Asperger's diagnosis? I'm noticing that a lot of people get diagnosed with things that are actually very related to Asperger's but somehow the doctor had failed to look into other areas of the person's life and see that the person actually had Asperger's. Some examples are things like non-verbal learning disorder, discalculia, sensory-integration disorder, and symptoms like alexithimia and apraxia, etc. I think a lot more research needs to be done to connect these issues together.

I hope you enjoy the forums~
