All I can say so far so good.
Last nights episode was great although I think Rick is slowly starting to turn into Shane quite a bit (not exactly good). The new group with Tyresse I bet you a steak dinner will become more of a threat than a foe.

I really didn't like Shane (glad he was killed off) so I hope Rick's not ending up like him.

For some reason I liked Shane. He was pretty interesting. I wish they didn't have to kill off Dale as well. Lori I say good riddence. Kind of reminds me of the Red Queen from Alice In Wonderland for some reason.

Shane was a douche in my opinion but yeah, too bad Dale had to die. I think Lori dying was a good thing for the show. Made it more interesting than if she would've survived. There's going to be a season 4, right?

I don't think Rick is necessarily turning into Shane, as Shane's first and foremost interest was Shane himself - despite his claims that he was so brutal and heartless for the sake of Lori, and the group. I think Rick has become hardened because of all the pain and fear he's had to live through, and for the things he's had to do.
My favorite character is Daryl, played by Norman Reedus, one of the best underrated actors out there. I really hope he smartens up soon about his evil as*hole brother Merle, puts an arrow in Merle's head, and heads back to the prison.

I really like Daryl too. I didn't like him in the beginning but he's grown on me. I hope he makes it back to the group and leaves Merle because Merle really is a jerk. Am I the only one here who doesn't like Andrea by the way?

Well, I for one really liked her in that scene where she was getting dressed after getting it on with the Governor, and we got a from behind shot of her in a thong!

^^^Daryl will be back. He's definitely getting a redemption arc. He's only with Merle because of his basic goodness. I'm betting he is going to catch Merle doing something extremely douchy and evil and he is gonna put a bolt through his head. :D

As for Andrea... I love Andrea in the comics, but TV Andrea--not so much. Nice bottom, but no brains.

I think Rick is gonna go a bit crackers and sort of fail as leader in the near term. I'm betting Tyresse and Miccone will help take up the slack and be accepted as a core part of the group.

All the above: wild guesses on my part.

ZOMBIE ON! :D

I hate to say I'm disappointed. I missed it sunday night so watched it last night.

The rick-losing-his-mind bit isn't doing it for me. It would have been much more compelling if he'd coldly told the group to go, without having his vision and acting bonkers. It makes him look weak when he is otherwise painted as a strong leader. If they want to replace him as the leader, there would be better ways to do it.

I say good riddance to lori, hardly any of the female characters are compelling, especially andrea who is a terrible actress. Her rally the crowd speech was painful to watch.

I LOVE daryl and dearly hope he rejoins the group. Maybe merle is planning to double cross him to get back in with the governor (if I'm right, this isn't a spoiler, I'm just guessing).

But even though I love the show and had high hopes, I was disappointed.

Add me to the group that kind of liked shane, though like lori & andrea, his acting sucked.

And how is tyrese so built in a world without illegal steroids??

So, I thought the last episode was great! I'm glad Daryl is back... I'm sorta disappointed that he did not pin Merl's head to that car on the bridge, but you can't have everything...

As a fan of the comics, I was also a bit disappointed that Tyresse didn't show up at the end swinging his hammer, but it was nice to see Miccone slicin' and dicin'. :D

Whether the group likes it or not - for the time being - they have to live with Merl. If they end up killing him, or put him outside to be eaten by walkers, is entirely up to Merl himself.

Yeah, I agree. Personally, I think Merle is beyond redemption, but I could be wrong...

I think he is going to do something bad, to endanger the group, and Daryl is going to have to kill him eventually.

Heh!
Exactly x 2.

The walkers seem to have brought the group together but there will have to be either a bonding or rejection event regarding Merle, I think, since he really can't be trusted after the things he's done. It's like with the other prisoners that got killed .. they can't be continually wondering when he's gonna go for their weapons (or use his own) in the middle of the night.
But if they *have* to all stick together while fighting walkers then they all will - maybe Merle will just get eaten gruesomely out of the show :D
