I have all my life suffered from Night terrors waking up and seeing spiders crawling over every surface.
but a lot of the time I have supernatural experiences things like waking up in my bed to a red flash then feeling a strong presence that something is hovering in the other corner of the room all of a sudden to be almost held down by an invisible but noticeable force.

Also dreams where I wake up on my couch and I can feel and almost see this grey energy floating above me laying on the couch.

I have supposedly come into contact with spirits before waking up beside friends to see an old women walking towards the bed and drifting through it only to try and wake my friend but nothing will come out of my mouth.

I used to wake to dark figures in my room I would swing for the sky to destroy these figures but instead I would Smash a mirror or punch the bed head.

my mum said when I was born I was known to sit there still and quiet but to look around the room as if there were a lot going on..

I feel somewhat different to a lot of people as most aspergers but more spiritually connected than most.
Does anyone else feel like this? or have experiences with supernatural/entities

Experiences that happen shortly after waking or before going to bed are sketchy. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it's supernatural if it happened in bed. There's no way to tell if it's not just a hypnopompic/hypnagogic experience. It could be supernatural but the fact that it happens when you wake up makes it doubtful.

I've had the experiences you describe both upon waking and right before falling asleep and I've never been able to assume it's supernatural when there is another explanation that is more realistic.

I've wondered about an experience I had once during a waking state but even though I don't have a psychotic disorder that doesn't mean it wasn't an isolated case of me experiencing psychotic symptoms. Someone could've also drugged me without me knowing it but that's unlikely because I was 8 and I was with my school social worker.

I've heard of tree telepathy and it probably wasn't that but I sometimes play with the idea that it could've been. Basically I could hear a particular group of trees talking. The fact that it was unpleasant suggests that it was probably a hallucination though. I was afraid of the trees that were talking and I avoided them like the plague. Mrs. Manning and I would've continued our hike but that meant going near the trees and I refused to do that so she took me home instead.

It sounds more like a symptom of psychosis but I don't have a psychotic disorder in any form. I'm pretty sure it was a hallucination and if I actually had a condition I would know that for sure. There's always the possibility that there really were evil spirits inhabiting those trees and I could hear them but that is unlikely. It's just a bit of a mystery because it happened once all of the sudden and then never happened again.

It's natural to feel special even when you aren't. I did. Sometimes that feeling can extend into the paranormal. I feel special so I must be special. I must have some kind of special supernatural ability.

I get it. I had that to the extreme for a while. I knew it wasn't true but the feeling that I was psychic was very strong. Obviously I knew that in spite of how strongly I felt it it wasn't true. It was just annoying because even though I didn't believe it the feeling persisted.

I know you may feel special and you might extend that feeling into the supernatural. It's tempting but try not to get carried away.

If we take the supernatural element out of this thread and just discuss hypnopompic and hypnagogic hallucinations I had been having a drought for a while.

This morning the month long drought ended. This one was scarier than usual because I woke up with my eyes closed.

It's happened enough that I usually just wait it out knowing it isn't real and it eventually fades. If one of the figures lunges at me which happens every now and then it still makes me jump but I know what's going on and I'm usually calm.

This morning I woke up with my eyes closed and I could feel someone over me. I thought maybe it was my mother but I could feel the person in a threatening position. This only lasted about 1.5 seconds and I didn't have time to think. For that brief moment I actually felt significantly threatened by the person I felt. I opened my eyes and nobody was there so I caught my breath.

This felt more like when I woke up from my overdose. I was a little bit more disorientated this time. Normally I'm calm.

I often have sleep paralysis, it is irritating but I don't think its supernatural, although it does have a kind of out of body experience to it almost.

I have read about the issues people have where they wake up and feel there is something on their chest and reports of this stretch back many centuries. I have never had this but I think it would freak me out a lot if I did.

One time when I was 14, I saw an alien floating around my room. he told me to be myself, no matter how stupid the bullies at my high school were.

Sometimes hypnopompic hallucinations can give us good advice.

I had one provide me with reassurance at one time.

Nobody's trying to say the hypnagogic/hypnopompic hallucinations are real. We know they're not really there when we're having them.

We're just sharing some experiences we've had while in the state between sleep and wakefulness.

I've had some real supernatural stuff happen. There is the stuff that people see in the moments following their awakening, or as they drift away into REM sleep...

I learned things in my dream that I didn't know in real life. I only knew the magnitude of my DREAM after it happened AFTER I dreamt it. I wasnt dreaming about something that HAPPENED, I dreamt about stuff that was HAPPENING or was GOING to happen.

When I was 16, my grandpa was old and bedridden in a carehome. He died something in early June of 2006. He's been senile for most of my life so I didnt have much of a connection with him, though I loved him...I never dreamt about him in the past, I hardly thought of him other than when I was going to go visit him agian. One night I had a dream of him coming to me from the otherside of this 'wall' that was like cloudy transparent. it was just him, but he had the personality of someone much younger and vigorous and ive never heard him talk like that before...because he was senile most of my life....it could be who he USED to be when he was a younger man or when he had his wits. ive never heard him like that before. he basically told me that he loved me, that he made mistakes in his life, told me to take care of grandma and make sure my dad doesnt mess thigns up and that hes so proud of me and that his generation didn't sacrifice in vain. I'm Japanese American ; my grandfather served in the 442nd regiment in ww2- while all the Japanese Americans were being put into internment camps, thousands of Japanese American men volunteered to fight for the US to prove their love of their country in the face of discrimination- my grandpa was one of them...and i can only assume he meant that he was proud of my life and that he was happy to know that their sacrifice helped the future Japanese American generations integrate more. He then took me on a memory trip, like plugged a cable into my mind or something . he showed me/ made me relive all these moments from when I was a baby and a little boy. I instantly relived playing cards with my grandpa, helping him build stuff and mowing the lawn..things i had forgotten long ago. He then said he would stick around for a bit, but eventually, soon, he would have to go.

I woke up and was weirded out. I went back to sleep until I had to go to school at 7AM. my dad told me that morning that my grandpa passed away sometime in the earlier night at the carehome...the nurse on watch thinks he stopped breathing around 2am-4am.....roughly the same time (within an hour) of when I was experiencing all the stuff.

I'm sure that my grandpas spirit was making its rounds before leaving...that, or the timing was impeccable. im certain it was real because I never thought o my grandpa a whole lot before that, and i definately didnt dream about him.

i rambled but i thought id share.

I often see shadow men (blurry outlines of a 3D shadow leaning against walls/trees, though sometimes standing in the middle of the land outside). Standing and staring, mainly, but also moving away when I look directly at the location (peripheral vision is where I see them).

Pretty cool, though not supernatural (well, you know, 99.99% chance of not).
