What were you doing at this precise moment ten years ago?

You don't have to go into detail (unless you remember the details). Think about what routine you had established then.

For example, ten years ago, March 5th, 2003, at 7:40 AM I was eleven years old and in the fifth grade, and around this time of the day I would usually be at my grandma's house before leaving for school.

I was working in my sketch book and having my morning tea.

Probably doing homework or recovering after a tiring day at college.

Around this time ten years ago I broke up with a boyfriend. We were together for 3 years.

Hmm! I haven't a clue, but I'd have arrived home round about now, as I always did shortly after 4:00pm
I remember what I was doing 8 years and 1 day ago, though.

I was probably at my Mum's friend's house playing with my Mum's friend's children who were my friends back then. Or at home playing on my own.

I was 17 years old, in the eleventh grade, and still in Choir Class, waiting for second quarter lunch to start at 11:30.

Probably going to lunch in my middle school, where I would sit with a group of my acquaintances under a bulldog poster and eat a nice Lunchables pizza.

If it was a weekday, I was at my desk in the lab at an electronics plant where I worked from 2002-2006. I would have been writing a log report for the morning's tests, and getting things put away for the 9:30 AM break.

If it was a weekday, I was here at my desk eating lunch. If it was a weekend, I was probably bored to tears watching golf at my hubby-to-be's apartment. My life hasn't really changed that much in the past 10 years. Dangit.

Most likely, preparing for my matura exam (finishing high school) - or maybe rather, I should have said, pretending I was preparing for it - I was always taking my history class handbooks to mom's bedroom, for she had a video type recorder in it, and every time I watched Matrix there - I think I always said to my mother that the reason, for which I prefered preparing in there, when she was at work - and the books (untouched) lying there when she was back, were the proof - was that there was better light than in my dark room. But in spite of my not preparing for my matura history exam well, I got good marks.

I was probably at work, and completely covered in dust.

Good thread. :)

I can remember approximately but not precisely. This time 10 years ago I was 12 years old, coming up for 13. I was at high school in year 8, and....that's about all I can remember. Probably just another ordinary school day, didn't have many friends, and kind of humiliated myself over a boy I fancied in my class. Well, heh, kind of like what's going on in my life today, I have just humiliated myself over a man I fancy. Not much has changed.

But I remember this exact month 10 years ago, when there was a war in Iraq (I think it was Iraq) and I was worrying about it because kids kept on saying there was going to be a nuclear bomb spreading a deadly disease and everything, and I kept getting all het up about it. I do remember that.

Inside a crowded bus in the way to school, after having had lunch at home.
