Do any of you have an idea what the perfect job for your traits and interests would be? What I mean is a job that won't cause anxiety or gut wrenching fear?

Mine would be curating collections or doing interpretive work at an American history museum. OR maybe teaching pretty specialized upper level American history subjects at a university.

What about you guys?

Ever since I first played Pokémon Red back when I was 3 (I'm 18 at the end of this month) I have been hooked on Video Games. Other obsessions have come and gone but Video Games have always been there, so the dream and current plan is to become a Video Game developer.

TV reviewer? Teaching a history of dramedy class, two thirds of which would be devoted to M.A.S.H.? Uh...

Actually, I take a slightly radical course on this. The absolute last thing I want is to work with TV, because as my dad once said to me "When you work at something you like, you'll like your work. When you work at something you love, that thing you love becomes horribly twisted and violated and presented back to you as something called work."

So... zoologist!

I see myself as a drummer in a Kinks tribute band, for obvious reasons. :)

My main interests right now revolve around menstruation and disabilities...
...I'd like to work as some sort of mentor for young people with disabilities, autism especially of course, so an ideal role with my interests would be educating young disabled women on menarche and puberty or helping carers to approach the subject with a disabled child.

Probably just shelving books in a library. Reading is my passion. A seemingly modest ambition but I can't seem to get such a job.

Mine would be related to marine biology, wouldn't mind if there was something specific to dolphins either, and something which dealt with preservation of the ocean environment, that had a real voice and impact on preventing pollution of the world's oceans.

If only I could make a career of punching greedy, shady, politicians & their corporate friends square in the throat.. aah, if only such a public service position existed... then I could do my work at peace at last. Just think of the job security!

The most likely working for census canadian, compiling lists and stats of different things related to demographics.

Most desired would be some sort of international developer in 3rd worlds.

Basically playing sim city in real life.

Freelance automotive designer. I've got great ideas in regard to completely revolutionizing the modern car. Too bad car manufacturers don't accept ideas beyond that of their design staff. If I could find a crack in their seemingly impenetrable wall of not accepting ideas from outside their organization that would be great.

Picking up giant bags of cement all day with no other people. Or picking up logs. With no other people. Will make me super strong and ripped and shredded and get paid for it.

Prolly a field biologist. I used to be interested in the behaviour of animals, as well as the ecology of populations. My interest has waned significantly in recent years, so it's not gonna happen anytime soon. But it does fit my skills, since it would evolve a lot of observing, and cataloguing/processing information, which is a favourite pasttime of mine.

As it stands, I'm content with my cleaning job, though I've also been surprisingly comfortable working as an assembly worker 2 years ago.

Lighthouse keeper. :D

Me, hubby, dog.
Sea, sky, land.
No-one to hate me.
No one to manipulate me.
No forced interaction and stupid mind games.

failing that -
Librarian, as long as it was not a lot of face to face,
researcher,
archaeologist,
forensic archeology. ( I am really interested in forensics in theory. But I'm pretty sure if I had to deal with the end reults of soulless psychopaths on a regular basis I wouldn't cope so not criminal forensics.)

Consultant hospital pharmacist. Preferably in a psychiatric hospital as psychopharmacology is my main interest / obsession.

Although I would rather if people would ask me questions via email rather than face to face or phone.

why on earth would menstruation be a fixation? ive heard of boys being fixated on subjects like periods but as a general topic ,no.
also dont get why you would want to teach a 'disabled child' something they might already know in the long run. is that still about periods too because im not so sure what you're getting at really.
