They've changed my role

I had a work meeting today to discuss my views and provide feedback to the company on how I was doing. I thought I was unproductive and possibly heading towards a discussion of that. Turns out they want to put me in a role MORE for my personality (haha they've interpreted my lack of communicating as 'not wanting to' versus 'not being able to' but they are both kind of true). I've been observed as focused and a hard worker but not much of a talker. They reassured me I wouldnt be placed on a phone but rather that I'd be doing the actual work and having others make the calls.

Now, they even added that my new role didnt seem to have much space for 'advancement' so they've even come up with areas I can advance to. This is a very young company and they can basically come up with stuff as they go along. I'm very happy with my new role and was even moved to a new spot in the building (thats quiet, that has little human traffic, etc).

This is a blessing as I thought my job was on the line when all they wanted to do was realign me with my strengths (they read my book!)

I would be warry of any move that went along the lines of your description, after-all how long will they be keeping you around if none of them even know you're there? lmao

No, they know - This is totally my advantage and absolutely exactly what I need. The business I am in is extremely boring and unnessarily complicated. The only way I know I can learn it is to do the actual work and not just have people tell me about them. They know I am here and if they don't, the city I live in, their employment is literally a 'crisis' (as they've little people to fill all the jobs available). Business' have shut down due to lack of employees.

Its all good! I was initially hired for this type of role, it just took near 6 months to get to it
