If you are struggling with learning to code this is a fantastic online free course. Theres no restrictions or prices and if you get stuck you can ask questions in their forum. You don't earn any diplomas or qualifications but you can learn JavaScript, HTML , Python and other languages.

That site is good for the basics but it would be more popular if it covered more advanced topics as well like polymorphism, delegates, etc. Good for beginners though :)

I highly recommend the .net framework!

Kid stuff. Not suitable for mature intellects. It might be just your speed.

Try http://www.code.org/ , it's an advocacy organization that is trying to get Americans to learn programming. They have links to various resources. Much of their stuff is geared towards HS and college students, so it's pretty elementary, but babies always crawl before they walk. I haven't looked at some of their links in depth though.

No need to be a douche.

On one side I have dyscalculia, on the other hand I have hyperlexia and artistic skills. Theres always a trade off.

I'm doing their HTML CSS section right now. I'm also doing some algebra and physics with Udacity. It beats sitting on your ass waiting for classes to begin.

Thanks for suggesting it.

I'll have to look into Udacity--that one is unfamiliar. Is it Algol based?

Am using a music notation program that lacks all the bells and whistles, but there are two ways it can interface with user scripts/tools. As a former COBOL programmer, I enjoy the challenge of creating tools that streamline the use of that program.

The Udacity course I took used python, Im not sure if it has anything to do with Algol or not.

CodeAcademy is a decent learning resource to get started with a particular language. Of course it can't cover every aspect and to render it as kid's stuff is pretty childish in itself.
