Recently, one of our teachers was fired for video taping the faculty in the unisex faculty bathroom and a student who was allowed to use it. This is the second teacher this school year to be fired for inappropriately videotaping people. Other students and my friends are laughing at this matter. I am not taking it seriously, but I am not laughing at it. Should I fake laugh with them? Or will I be bullied for not laughing?

It's probably a condescending laugh they are doing.

I would suggest laughing, or just chuckling and saying something like "what a f'ing pervert"

Sometimes people laugh when they don't know what else to do - or because they're uncomfortable with the situation. They may also be laughing because it's "usually" the student that "gets in trouble" so there's a bit of "humour" when a teacher is caught doing something wrong. As for your question, no, you don't need to laugh if you don't find it funny. You will not be "bullied" for not laughing since these people you're referring to are your "friends". Disengage when the topic comes up.

Sometimes I laugh at inappropriate times and others I don't laugh when others do.
Don't laugh at something unless you find it funny and at the same time, never be afraid to access the situation before laughing, in case it gets taken the wrong way.
The person who commented above me has a good point, sometimes laughter is more of a reaction due to being nervous or anxious, doesn't mean we're laughing at anything bad. Everyone's intentions are different at the end of the day. Throughout live, these things will get easier to deal with.

It's probably not too big a deal either way. Do it if you want. It's pretty crazy that happened so I can see how some people would react by laughing about it.
