i get crippling anxiety and im on some medication for it now but, it takes a LONG time to start working. what other ways can i do to become less anxious

Have ou tried breathing exercises? That seems to work better than most things for me. Also, I enjoy squeezing stresss balls and time ith the dog. Well, and sex, but that's a little more difficult, logistically. 8O

Boy that's a tough one. I have general anxiety, but at one point developed severe anxiety. I can't really think of anything that really helped it much. I did a lot of rocking which helped some and deep breathing. It really reminded me of stomach flu and how I rock back and forth and do deep breathing to ease the nausea. Really very similar in those respects. Talking about it helps. Have you tried Xanax to help tide you over some until the other stuff kicks in?
