I'm considering leaving the state of California for 4 reasons

1) the rent costs (let alone house prices) are out of reach and I don't live with rich people. A house that would cost 300k in Austin can easily go for 2 million in San Francisco
2) I spent most of my life here and I'm getting pretty bored
3) the big one can get here and soon, Las Vegas would have a beach
4) This state have strict gun laws that will only get tighter, unless SCOTUS tells them to stop. I will be 18 soon and would like to exercise my right to bear arms peacefully

I've considered moving out of state. On several occasions, to a place where people don't consider fifty degrees F. freezing cold, and also mostly to get away from my sister.

I actually already live in a foreign country.

The climate here is quite mild in winter (0C on a cold morning but ~18C during the day). I might think about moving to an even warmer place, but not seriously thinking yet.

I could move back to my country, but finding a job would be very difficult.

I've thought about living in Florida once I get on my feet and live alone. I'm from an area where 75° is extremely toasty, so I might not be able to handle it.

I would have moved to LA. I can handle 90 degree weather if it's not humid and im not in a car.

But real estate isn't much cheaper, it's even more vulnerable to quakes, and the politicians are even more hoplophobic.

I wonder if TX or GA is a good idea?

I'm Michigan which lead the charge into the Recession and has a really messed up economy, so I think about this frequently. Sometimes I consider Ontario, but I'm not sure how the immigration system would work in my case.

I'm still halfway into my college program so afterward I'll just have to see where the jobs are for me.

I've thought about moving from Canada to New Orleans before but not so much recently.

Even before that I thought about moving to Japan but even if I wanted to do I've heard it's quite difficult. Japan doesn't welcome too many immigrants.

More recently I've thought about running away and taking a train to British Columbia and then sneaking into the U.S. through the rocky mountains. The plan was to be voluntarily homeless and get into the United States while anyone looking for me assumes I'm still in Canada. If I ran away my parents and other people who know me would definitely be looking for me. They'd be very worried and want to know where I went.

I've been moving away from that third thought as well. I'm not sure where or how I'm going to live.

Once I have earned enough from whatever job I'll eventually have, I might move to either Seattle or Vancouver BC.

I am definitely going to leave Louisiana/Mississippi because:

1.) Highest rates of high school dropouts
2.) Highest rates of teen pregnancies
3.) Highest rates of obesity
4.) Highest rates of poverty
5.) Everyone is hyper-conservative and very discriminatory against those who don't share their viewpoints of background
6.) I've been through way too many hurricanes
7.) I hate fried food...all they have here is fried food....
8.) No infrastructure conducive to a healthy lifestyle (ex.: walking paths, gyms, bike trails or paths)
9.) I have never been and never will go mud digging (it's the #1 past-time here)
10.) Can't stand redneck culture

I could go on but I think I'll stop here. I don't care where I end up, as long as it isn't in the South. Southern hospitality is a complete myth rooted in the past btw, people here are just as mean as up north!

I used to want to live in London, but it costs way too much and I'd need a career. Don't think it's worth it.

Manchester is cosmopolitan enough and my roots are here (for better or worse).

I might move out into the sticks one day (and live in rural Lancashire or Derbyshire - not Cheshire). I like hills and moorland. I'd live in Wales if I could get a job there and if I could speak Welsh (I have a certain respect for their culture, which is unusual for a Saesnes like me).

I thought about living in Finland, but the language is very difficult.

I have not been to Georgia, but I do live in Texas. Trust me it has some humidity in it, plus in the summer it can get up to the high 90's to 100 + F. and stay there in the triple digits for several weeks. With the humidity it makes it only worse.

Real estate on the other hand is a lot better in Texas than Los Angeles.

Well to escape DC area's heat, I would totally move to Seattle. But the fall/winter can be gloomy in Seattle. Very rarely does Seattle get hot and humid. I don't think though that Seattle has a metro subway system so I-5 is bad. The airport is small too. I did live in Seoul for a long time since dad was in the US Army. If I did have to move I would probably go up north. Maybe Lancaster PA area. I hear San Fran is nice too.

San Francisco is nice. 90 degree weather is rare. It's pretty cold year round.

Real estate is very expensive. Homes cost 700k on average. Also the city officials are very scared of weapons, so if you own something, don't move here.

Never been there and don't have family there. But housing is irresistibly cheap! You can also have better schools (depends) and get to keep anything you want!

I've been to Atlanta though. It's humid as hell but if there's a pool nearby and the AC is not broken, it isn't too bad.

I am considering moving to the uk and doing a masters. Also because I think london might have more stuff to do for entertainment than dublin.
