Deal-breakers for men?

I suppose that the most of the deal-breakers initially listed for women in that discussion would also apply for the gents

although I don't really like to see goatees and stubble on a woman's face. Hairy armpits and pubis are fine.

No smokers, druggies, alcoholics, gamblers, etc. either.

A nice ass is a big plus.

Deal-breakers for me are, but not limited to:

-Sociopathic behavior

-Has a habit of acting bossy & arrogant

-Bigoted towards others

-Racist, sexist, or homophobic

-Smoking

-Consumption of alcohol

-Addicted to sex

-Resembles my mom or my sister

hardcore drug use (including pot smoker, once in a while ok, but not all the time)
Abusive
holds gender stereotype (man has to be tough, man has to pay)
extreme religious views
extreme political views
Ugly
overweight
stinky

Any smoking
Any drug use that isn't completely behind her
If casinos / gambling are a major passtime
Arrogance / superiority complex
Impatience
Judgmental attitude
Unsympathetic / lack of compassion for others
PTSD if it's bad enough / depending on how it affects her; just doesn't mesh well with Asperger's (been through it twice)
Narcissism
Ignorant / uneducated / lives in a closed-off world
Immaturity
Abusiveness
Spitefulness
Hatefulness
Pettiness
Unwillingness to listen and consider

The first one for me, the bad breath, I just couldn't put my tongue in a mouth that smells of pooh.

Fake breasts/whatever else/Botox etc.
Stuck up/snobby
A lot of tattoos, or piercings
Sees sex as a purely physical thing and her history indicates that quite clearly
Black/hispanic (sorry, just not attracted to them)

Bossy/demanding
Masculine
Can't give me alone time

and last but not least, ignorant and happy about it.

I could go on, but I'm sure this list will get me flamed enough.

I mean if someone has one of the qualities but are otherwise really good, there's no point in holding it against them, but the more there are, the less it can work out.

I knew I forgot something.

1) Negative attitude toward men. Why start at less than zero?
2) Overly neurotypical. Why be normal?
3) Disastrous children (drugs, crime, etc.) Why adopt trouble?
4) Huge tattoos mangled by stretchmarks. Obvious.
5) Any tobacco habit. Yuck!

In the interest of political correctness, it has been renamed "Blowjob Engineer"

It's interesting that not one woman mentioned mental illness as a deal breaker on that thread yet several men mentioned it on this one.
So if you met someone,liked them, and later they told you they were being treated for a mental illness you would dump them like a hot potato?
All I can say is that is cold.

Not only that, I'd disavow any knowledge of their identity.


It's better than getting blamed for their condition, and for being held accountable for their actions.

It also beats waking up tied to the bed with her holding a knife to your favorite private parts because the voices in her head told her that you were going to be the father of the anti-Christ.

Lucky thing that the ropes were not strong enough to hold me.

I know I was one who mentioned a couple. I actually prefer to try and make it work, I have an overwhelming preference for that. My thing with PTSD is that I tried twice and had to admit defeat; I tried to sustain a relationship for almost 9 months with a girl who was constantly freaked out when I had the flat-faced affect. She was also narcissistic, and this led to hear being emotionally abusive towards me.

I still have nothing but warmth, I have just learned a thing or two about what I am not humanly capable of doing for someone.

Why would you be held accountable for their actions or condition?You didn't cause it.
More mentally ill people are the victims of abuse than the abuser.
We could swap stories,my ex,not schizophrenic or bi-polar got me by the hair and beat my head into the floor,plus punched me in the jaw,the arm,etc,etc......
How nice to perpetuate the stigma that all mentally ill people are dangerous,the media does a fine job of that.it's just another form of prejudice.
