Whoa, chill out for a second. For all we know, Kim Jong Ugly is just doing all of this to get something he wants from the other countries. This has happened before.

The end of the world has come many times before in the last 15 years.

This is just a hunch, but I'm betting we'll survive a bunch of overblown threats by a country that can only produce 1 nuke every couple of months / years, and can barely shoot them straight.

I agree, it looks a lot like he's just waving his battleaxe about.

Anything ominous-looking coming out of that place will probably get shot down by South Korea's/USA's stuff 10 seconds later.
I think Japan have got the odd anti-missile missile lying in wait as well.

And that's assuming they've even figured out how to strap anything nasty to the end of a missile.

North Korean missles don't have the range to reach Britain and even if they did, their target would undoubtebly be South Korea. The North Korean leader is a silly little boy in a huff because of UN sanctions placed against them, so is spitting out violent rhetoric as a means of displaying his outrage. Even China who are their historical allies are backing away and leaving them surrounded by hostile forces. Any North Korean acts of war will be dealt with swiftly long before Britain or any other nations outwith the region need be concerned. If i lived in South Korea or Japan, I would feel like you do now.

I said this on my Facebook, and I'll say it here.

Korea is the barking dog, and everyone else is the rolled-up newspaper.

How many times have they threatened us and not done anything? At least 10 times over the past few decades.

We import Korean products and they import ours.

If they attack anyone, it'd be suicide. China is already ready to blow them off the map if they start a war. Not to mention what the US and Europe would likely do to them.

Kim Jong Un is likely just trying to impress his wife, in my opinion. There will be no war.

It doesn't help that the news channels are playing this up so much, and so constantly. From what I've read, this has been North Korea's main (and ongoing) strategy to get more concessions from the US and South Korea. All this media attention isn't going to be encouraging them to try a new approach, either.

We're probably all being buttered up to go to war, but that doesn't mean that North Korea will be able to successfully nuke anybody. We should probably just be feeling sorry for their citizens if war actually does break out. And South Korea of course, too; though they probably won't come out of this too badly if something does happen.

According to what I've heard anything North Korea could potentially launch could be shot down before it hits its target.

Death by definition I think means not capable of consciousness... I am conscious, therefor I am not dead.

It is possible to be dead and not know it, but the precondition to that is not being capable of knowing anything else either. I know something, therefore I am alive. 8)

Yeah, I was worried about this too for a while, even contemplated suicide briefly. Then I started listening to North Korea's shortwave broadcasts, and became convinced that they can't nuke anybody, at least not with a missile. They could put a bomb in a plane and drop it on Seoul, but that's about it. And if they did that they would be wiped off the face of the earth within hours. I think they mainly want food and bilateral talks with America. They HATE the six party talks that everybody insists on, they want to talk with us directly. China wouldn't come to their defense, the Chinese are sick of them drawing the world's attention to East Asia and interfering with Chinese empire building. The media in the US and UK is really having a field day with this, they are making this dork out to be some huge threat. People are preparing for nuclear/EMP war on the survival board I'm on.
