I love thunderstorms
the mid west(US) is getting hit with major storms today and I have the whole day to enjoy them!
wish I had some wine to share this with me!

I live in Florida and I like Hurricanes

I went through half a dozen or so and the whole time I am just ready to pop for about a week

My family thinks i'm totally nuts but it just makes me so excited to witness the change in weather as it approaches... I dunno... I guess that's my "moving water" aspie trait

I like them too, because the rain makes a very soothing noise when it falls on my velux.

I don't care for tornado weather, but thunderstorms make me feel energetic in a generally good way.

Violent thunderstorms = orgasm for me, so to speak. I don't know how else to put it....

If I can stay curled up on the couch reading, then I love them. Going outside in them is another matter.

Me, too. I love thunderstorms if I don't have to go out. I really like seeing it from inside. The unusually loud noise of very heavy rain, loud thunder, and the bright lightning are very exciting. I guess it's because it doesn't happen often. Also I like it when TV news has some special edition dedicated to the severe weather news.

However, if it causes damage or injury to anyone, then I feel bad about it.

I also love them.

Heavy rain, thunderstorms makes me have a good sleep. I love the sound of rain pounding on my windows.

I like thunderstorms - nowadays. When I was a child I was really scared of them, even seeing a small grey cloud in the sky made me quite worried. Now I'm actually waiting for the first thunderstorm of this year (here in Finland we can enjoy thunderstorms only in the summertime). Of course if I'm in the middle of a lake or in some other dangerous place I don't enjoy the thunderstorm at all (even though Finnish tempests are not so very violent).

I absolutely love thunderstorms...when inside of course! Ah yes, the thunders, the rain(sometimes hail), the light flashes, the heavy winds and the sound. I have no idea what makes this so exciting for me. It unfortunately doesn't happen too often where i live.

Thunderstorms are interesting to watch, but they always knock out our electricity.

Me too. I adore them. pity there aren't too many in Manchester, UK :S

Thunder sounds quite different when lightning strikes somewhere only a few hundreds of meters away; more like a sudden, very loud “BANG!”. I can’t say it was fun when I heard it. Also, a neighbor’s roof was destroyed.

I usually don't like sudden loud sounds, but t-storms are an exception. I just love watching thunderstorms like that, but that level of intensity is pretty rare in my moderate climate country.
