BBC 2's 'Cultural Show' recently asked viewers to vote for who they think would qualify to be a living British icon - well, the results are on the BBC 2 website, but this got me thinking - Regardless of whether they are dead or alive and whoever they are - Who would be your top 10 icons?

1) Spider-Man (Peter Parker) - with great power, comes great responsibility. Every kid should learn this lesson. Plus, he was a nerdy kid that was bullied in high school, like I was.
2) Optimus Prime - One shall stand, one shall fall. I only hope that I can fight my final battle as courageously as him. That, and he's a FREAKIN' GIANT ROBOT.
3) Cyclops (Scott Summers) - a man who deals with a brain injury on a daily basis (as I do), and yet is still a hero because of it. He's the Best X-Men Leader Ever.

1) Neil Gaiman. Simply one of the best authors working today.
2) J.K. Rowling. This woman made reading cool again.
3) Tim Burton. He may not always be consistant, but he's made more than a few classic films that really connected with me.

5) Bill Watterson. This guy wrote "Calvin and Hobbes," which is in my opinion still the best comic strip ever.

Imaginary:
1) Death from "The Sandman" graphic novel series. Just a wonderful character.
2) Dream from "The Sandman." Poor, poor Dream.
3) Alice from the game "American McGee's Alice." Cures her schizophrenia, and almost dies while doing it. One HELL of an imagination, too.
4) Raziel from "Legacy of Kain" game series. Does all he can to defy his fate, and looks awesome despite being burnt up in acid. (Or maybe because of it?)

I was gonna put something else but I don't remember, sorry.

I'm not a celebrity kind of guy... I'm a cat person.
