My birthday was Saturday. Thursday night I had stayed up all night so I would be bright eyed and bushy tailed at 5am to take the van to the gas station and the ATM to get gas and all the money off DH's pay card so I could pay bills and give him the cash to spend he gets out of it. While that may sound selfish and controlling, this is by agreement. He knows he can't pay bills so I do that and the cash I give him out of his pay he can do whatever he wants to with it without worrying how much he has to keep back. So I stayed up all Friday too. That's two days. Then I was up late Friday night and went to sleep about 3 or 4 or something Saturday morning. I managed to accomplish this completely sober, when years ago staying up all that long would require at least beer. But anyway, I digress.

I woke up at about 12 in the afternoon on Saturday with an invisible man hitting me in the head with a sledge hammer and his partner drilling into my sinuses. I took some Tylenol and a couple of Benadryl - maybe twice the recommended dose, I was hurting - and went back to sleep. For a couple hours. I woke up at 1am when my son came in there to ask if he could have this linguine frozen dinner I had in there for a snack.

Then I woke up this morning bright and early gonna have a good day, and came into the kitchen. Which had every dish on the counter or in the sink, dirty. Baking cocoa on the floor, no water in the dogs bowl, the smell of something dead coming from the overflowing garbage can, and the laundry room full of laundry.

I walked around slamming things and cussing and fussing but nobody woke up or shoed any sign of sympathy. Fine then! Oh well, it could be worse.

Quite a story!
I've stayed up countless nights only to be up early on the next morning. Always had problems with my sleeping paterns.
Happy birthday by the way. =)

bday's don't even mean anything as an adult, they're just there to remind you of your mortality and impending doom. Be glad you saved one day from being reminded of your grizzly fate, it's a victory imo.

But you get money and gorge yourself on unhealthy food. That is the pleasure I take out of birthdays.

I forgot it was my birthday once. I got up and wondered what the date was, and then my dad told me happy birthday. *facepalm*
