i'm not sure if i have aspergers or not or what.
i have had trichotillomania since i was in middle school. i once plucked a quarter sized balled spot on the crown of my hair and had to comb it over. i lock myself in a bathroom to brush my hair when i'm stressed out.
i was diagnosed with major depressive disorder in high-school. currently not medicated.

i'm fascinated by space, dreams, and impossibilities.

looking to learn more about myself as well as maybe possibly connecting with like-minded individuals.

thank you! and...

Trichotillomania (pronounced /ˌtrɪkəˌtɪləˈmeɪniə/ trik-ə-til-ə-may-nee-ə, also known as trichotillosis) is the compulsive urge to pull out (and in some cases, eat) one's own hair leading to noticeable hair loss, distress, and social or functional impairment. It is classified as an impulse control disorder by DSM-IV and is often chronic and difficult to treat.

I have that problem too. I pull out my eyelashes and eyebrows. I've had this unfortunate habit since 5th grade. At one point, I looked like a cancer patient, it was that bad. It is a good thing I do not feel the emotion of shame, otherwise I would be in a lot worse emotional pain.

Hello Mika, welcome to the forum, I hope you make friends here. I am a mum of two teenage boys with aspergers.

Hello. This thread is the first I've heard of this disorder. I hope it's something you can live with. I have a tough time living with mine unmedicated because without meds it's very hard to get to sleep.
