Has anyone else read Mindblind? It is a book about a mid-functioning teen with Asperger's. I read it today in less than 3.5 hours... with classes. In school. (Couldn't resist saying that) It's definitely better and more accurate to AS than The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. I also enjoyed reading it more. Thoughts?

I read it shortly after reading your post, looking it up, and realizing that I had planned to read it years ago, and hadn't gotten around to it. It was... well, I don't know, the book itself was ok, but the portrayal of an aspie was better than anything I've seen, and the main character was like a creepily-accurate version of myself on super-steroids (that is, much more naive and much, much, much smarter).

I've read the first chapter of it. Curious Incident is about a boy with a more severe case of Asperger's (or is it HFA?? Haven't read it in awhile) so it's hard to relate to him. I could only relate with his thinking process and a few other things. Mindblind is easier to relate to because the boy is more high-functioning.
Here are a few other books about aspies I found to be accurate:
best one: Colin Fischer -- pretty great. Fast-paced writing, and pure Aspie humor. The kid is super smart and absolutely hysterical. Any aspie can relate to this book.
The London Eye Mystery -- pretty boring, but I found this Aspie character the easiest to relate to. He narrates the story.
Rogue -- narrated by an eighth grade girl with Asperger's... Haven't gotten more than a few pages into it but it sounds interesting
Mockingbird -- narrated by Caitlin, a young Aspie girl. I loved this one.
