I got an award from my school in eight grade, because I like to read.

I have the same problem sometimes. what I do is I get interested (so interested) that I read to find out what happens, and also: I like feeling the width of the pages I have already read, and when it becomes thick: I am near to the end. and so it's like a video game (have to finish this!)

Yup, but only non-fiction; mainly technical and current affairs issues. :nerdy:

Yes, it is my ultimate obsession. I haven't been reading so much now, i go through phases and am currently watching a lot of tv, but when i get going i average three books a day, my fingers start to cramp up and i forget to eat and sleep, so i try not to indulge myself too much.

I enjoy reading. I like to read Anne Perry and Charles Dickens novels.

Hmm... well, if I like the book, I'll read excessively, (I finished A Briefer Histor of Time by the day after I got it.) but, most of the time, I'd be too lazy to read at all.

I read non-fiction, currently "Hard Time, Voices from a State Prison, 1849-1914."

I enjoy reading, but one piece of sucky required reading is all it takes to throw me off.

The Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald came dangerously close to stopping me from reading - it's so lifeless.

For the most part, though, I like to read and I enjoy thought-provoking, philosophical contemporary literature. Tim O'Brien and Chuck Palahniuk are some current favorite authors.

I have this problem with a slight variation.
I used to read every night to distract my brain from everything else in order to sleep.
Now no matter what or where I am, or the time of day, if I pick up a book to read I fall asleep within 15 minutes.

Yes, it is a passion of mine. I love to write, too.
