Probably it's legal but this wouldn't be possible in Scandinavia.

I could also ask if this is a humor thread or not.

I don't know if this is a real sign or where it is posted. It does resemble some similar signs I have seen.

I saw this picture on an article, and I immediately interpreted it as instructions to autistic children to play in that spot, and I started laughing, because then I realized that it probably is intended to be a warning to drivers to not drive fast.

I get it, the sign is telling autistic children to play there like it's some kind of segregation.

It's for other people. It's basically saying that people should be careful while driving because autistic people may not react to an oncoming car like an allistic person. I mean, I myself have problems of walking in front of cars...

Pretty much that.

Common for ASD people to have problems with "crossing" boundaries, from not recognizing them to getting "stuck". Usually a kid thing, but some still retain it into adulthood.

I didn't get the instruction at all, until someone pointed it out above. I only took it as what it's meant to be, a warning sign to drive carefully because (autistic) children play in the area. We have signs here saying the equivalent (just without the autistic part).
I thought what made it bad was that it pointed out that the children are autistic, making them a possible target for haters.

It means "Be extra careful driving here; the children will all memorize your license number accurately if you f**k up."

I've seen a sign that says "Slow children at play". When I see the mother, I've never had the nerve to ask her about her "slow children".
