I am a manipulative and deceitful person, I have had to lie a lot and manipulate people in the past to survive in a disgusting household. I am an emotional manipulator. The main thing with lying and being deceitful is to stay in character. Learn what people think is typical and lie within those boundaries. Are most people with aspergers manipulative?

I know someone who is.

Not everyone with Aspergers will be manipulative.

a. People can be manipulative.
b. People with ASDs are still people.

Really depends on how you define various forms deceit. Everyone, whether they like it or not, puts on some facade for certain groups of people but not others, and will never treat every single other person the same. For example, the socially awkward ASD individual who pretends to be 'normal'. That counts as deceit, but to put it so broad would make it meaningless.

But yeah, considering that a (possibly?) socially awkward girl manipulated me before, its very possible. Especially if it happens that the receiving end is young/naive/very good natured/in a trust relationship/desperate/socially awkward/obsessed etc.. list goes on.

Yes, I am fully capable of manipulation and I have manipulated some people myself for various reasons. I, just like many other people, know how to push the right buttons in certain people from time to time. Just be careful in which way you choose to manipulate people. People really don't like being manipulated into doing something that is out of character for them.

Perhaps but it's unlikely. People who are manipulative generally have theory of mind.

One flaw in your logical deduction:

The word people doesn't equate to all people.

One flaw in your logical deduction:

While your claim that "the word people doesn't equate to all people" is valid, the wording of the syllogism was intentional. I specifically excluded the word "all" because I am fully aware that (1) not all people are manipulative, (2) not all people have ASDs, and (3) not all people with ASDs are manipulative.

The minor premise is derived from the major premise, and the conclusion is derived from the conflation of the premises.

Thus, people with ASDs can be manipulative because they are still people and people can be manipulative.

QED

^^^ Damn your Vulcan logic.

Are you presuming that my logic is Vulcan or that Vulcan logic is mine?

And why do you wish that it would be consigned to Hell for all eternity?

Do Aspies always lack theory of mind or do some just have underdeveloped theory of mind?

I think people with Aspergers are more likely to be manipulated by others than manipulate people themselves but they may end up manipulating people who are more vulnerable than themselves or who they have some kind of emotional hold over.

Calling it Vulcan logic is a joke. "Damn your Vulcan logic" is a line Dr. McCoy used. I was mostly amusing myself. I agree with you.

AS people can be manipulative, but it's a lot more difficult and therefore less likely.

But excluding 'all' makes your syllogism invalid.

1. Animals can be cats.
2. Dogs are animals.
3. Therefore dogs can be cats.
