My postings today have been reflective and that reflects my
mood that I got up with today. It started with the "Deceptive"
rant on Rocky Horror and R-P-G'rs and deceptive ways that
I recall them.
That is just the start of the morning. At work we have a
supervisor that I am on defensive with since we really don't
get along. Amongst my other duties at work I am answering
in short phrases that require no expression since I don't get along
with the supervisor. I got into a subconscious stage around
her and she doesn't understand it, but said something profound
on how I respond to her and my autistic space zoning around
her. "Are you Drunk", and I would like to say NO!-I DON'T DRINK,
but I am on defensive mode and lights and sound fade into a
cylinder of me in my head. They bounce inside with a echoing
sound and I am unable to respond.
This is like being underwater and all you hear are the vibrations
and are unable to respond properly. This rarely happens to me
but occasionally I will have a day like this.
I am making tuna for the work place, and she decides to
complement me on how dry it is and have you done this before?
I say "I Don't remember" and she says "Are you drunk" by how
zoned I look as sound and lights affect me in a defensive, uncomfortable
envirement.
It is hard for me to see what she saw but I will give it a try....
I had a girlfriend(one of a very few in my life) and after ..x she stares
at me and I feel my VOID emiting from her and her energy is no
longer hers. after shaking it off a little later she explained the void
she felt and how helpless she was to respond or react. The most
profound thing about this is that I was given a rare glimpse of my
STARE and Zone space that other see and feel.

I really don't have a question, but if there were one it would be
HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOUR AUTISITC ZONE SPACE?

I've had people tell me I look drunk or stoned, very focused, and of course shy. My parents once accused me of being on drugs. None of it happens too often though. I try not to attract attention that way. Never knew what it looked like from the outside till I met another person with AS in real life.

What is stranger is seeing it in a natural,
genetically transfered way. It is easy
to avoid others energies , but to be
externally surrounded by your own,
that is rare? Anyways, decribe, if you
can YOUR ZONE SPACE?

If this helps, WHAT SHAPE OR FORM DOES IT
TAKE? This is just a example, be creative.

People often ask me if I am on drugs. Allthough I have never even had a drink. Go figure.

That's interesting because back all the way to when I was about 11 and all the way through high school people would come upto me and say "Are you, like, permantly stoned or something?".

I didn't know that this was a trait of aspies?

Oh! Didn't realize what you were talking about, Ghosthunter. But the example helped.

I tune up my senses and start seeing fractals in everything - music flooding around me in a halo of flashing color, the cacophony of taste, the ever shifting fractals of people moving in and out of connection with each other. I'm a color-letter and color-music synesthete and trained as a painter so a lot of what I do are the same things I'd do to plan a painting. It's a shift in visual perception to see beauty in fallen leaves, the patterns of shadow, trash at the side of a road. It brings a rush of energy but also vulnerability so that it gets harder to keep still and act normal.

If anyone tries to talk to me I snap out pretty quick so that I can answer, but I'm sure I look pretty out of it.

Oh, yes... I've had more than a few occasions where someone mistook me for being drunk or stoned when I was just being myself!

Yep. Over my life I have been asked if I was drugged or drunk.

And I would have been in this state a lot more often if it wasn't for the effort I put in to not being like this in public.

I have been asked numerous times if I am stoned etc. and I even got sent home from school one day randomly because the teacher thought I was on drugs... I was just sitting there in maths and she came up to me and asked if I was okay. I was like "yeah I'm fine, why?" And she asked me to leave, so I did. Then she gets another teacher to 'look at me' and it was quite uncomfortable but then I was sent home and then to the doctors to do a drugs test which obviously came back a negative.

I hadn't given that much thought until now but maybe that is an Aspie trait? Sometimes when I first step into work I see everyone like, looking at me and I get really nervous. My vision can blur, this week someone asked me if I was 'hungover or something'.

Oh, a necrobump from > 10 years ago! This must be a record! Or not?

I'm simply plain weird. People think I'm just nervous, grumpy, sarcastic, sneaky etc depending on their own personality, but they never think I'm under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
