here what I find annoying when I hear men ( ok,some men)
say this: ''oh, women are so shallow and picky, they won't date short men, shame on them''
but yet these same guys would say ''oh, I won't date a fat woman''
''I won't date an ugly woman''

so why is it so bad, if a woman doesn't want to date a short guy, or any guys she has no interest in.
but yet, many times the same kind of guys who complain about these women,
are the same guys who also won't date fat woman, tall woman or any woman they have no interest in.

if a man has the right not to date a fat woman, then a woman should have the right not to date a short man.
and not be insulted for it.

if a man complains about women being picky, and yet he himself is just a picky, he's a hypocrite

A fat woman is less fertile than a fit woman. Futhermore, obesity is mostly a choice; height is not. If a 5'2" woman (who will probably give birth to short kids herself) turns down a 5'8" man, then she's a hypocrite. Likewise, if a 320 lb man turns down a cute, but slightly chubby girl because of her fat percentage, he's a hypocrite as well.

I agree, but I'm not short, I'm 5'11".

I agree with this too, legs of steel, you'll get women who jog all damn day long checking you out when you ride your bike. I swear, sometimes it is so much better than using a car just to get around town. I got to get by midsection and upper body more fit though, although cardio keeps my lungs and heart healthy. Any ways, track and field is always a good option, or the rowing team if your college has one. Believe it or not my mother was on the rowing team, really good for your upper body. any ways this isn't the fitness section, oddly enough barely anyone goes to that forum, I wonder why.......

"Fat sex" is actually quite fun.........I'd prefer a little meat over a super skinny girl.

It's a double standard, and this one guy's got the short end of the stick. There's lots of double standards in life, some men win, some women win.

Women can have "types" with near impunity, whereas a guy who says he doesn't find fat women attractive is shallow.

However

A man can have sex with 5 women in a night and be a "Big Pimpin" hero, whereas a woman who sleeps with 5 guys in a night is a dirty hoebag.

The best thing I've found is to say that while you are sure the girl is attractive, she is just not your type.

A woman doesn't have to do anything to f-ck five different guys in one night—a man has to work for it.

Really? I'd normally think he was a w*ker/grotbag of some description.

I'd probably feel sorry for the woman.

With all due respect to some of the other posters, it looks as if I will take the contrarian position once again. I think one of the reasons why failed relationships are so painful is that, unlike an unsuccessful job interview, rejection by a lover or potential lover IS personal. Who we are attracted to is the most intensely personal and subjective thing I know of.

So, if a man doesn't isn't attracted to any kind of woman, that is his business, and he owes no explanation to anybody. The same goes for women. If a woman doesn't like short men, or wants only to date big bags of money, that is her business. We should date and marry whom we damn well please.

well, very attractive men can easily get women to have sex with him, with little effort.
but the average looking guys, yes, they have to do alot of work.

I've dated women whom most men would consider "fat". They've all been (mostly) nice and we had lots of fun. The fact that most were divorced and still harbored some anger toward their exes (and men in general) is what prevented any of those relationships from becoming permanent.

For me, it's the behavior more than the appearance that is the biggest turn-off.

A smile and a hug are just as sweet from a large woman as from a tiny one.

Yeah that one never fails to make me go: -->

The same when guys fall for women/girls because they're sexy or beautiful and then complain about the female not accepting him because he's too bookish or not in the right crowd. I have no sympathy with him whatsoever. So the girl dismisses him for the same shallow reason that made him into her. Boo-hoo! That what happens when you go out of your league.

Why is it about 'leagues'? Might someone in a 'higher' 'league' not find him attractive too? Someone in the same 'league' might not find him attractive at all.

People put this arbitrary 'worth' on people and it is absolute bollocks of the very first water.

You can't blame people for having their preferences. You also can't control how tall you are, but you can watch what you eat and take care of yourself so that you aren't fat..

I don't have a league, nor does anyone else. Sometimes it bothers me in a certain way why anyone would even use the concept of 'leagues' for dating anyways. When a woman loves you, she loves YOU. A woman who dates a man then dumps him because he is in the wrong crowd is not even thinking of leagues, she is thinking of her safety. If a woman dumped a man who is out of her 'league', she is heartless, big difference than if he was an unsafe guy or didn't live near enough, BIG difference.

I am more interested in someone's character than anything else. Looks don't mean much to me unless he's a tiny midget or whatever. Even then I'd probably consider it if the person's really interesting. But to be honest: He'd probably be friendzoned... :( Anyway, the dating criteria differ a lot per gender so I guess hypocrisy is a natural part of it. It helps though if people are aware of that fact.

I don't understand the ''league'' thing either. I never think about it, for one. I don't see anyone as more or less valuable for reasons people put him in a certain league. Personality and intelligence matter to me. That's just one aspect. I just look at the person, regardless of what society thinks, and how well we get along.

(yes, I do have a certain amount of choice, so I can talk a bit about it....^_^)
