Fox On The Run? Isn't that a mid-tempo rocker? Come to think of it, I don't know many ballads Sweet did. They were more of a party-rock band.

A song which I consistently refer to as "Don't Fear the Reefer", because it sounds like they were on a trip when they conceived this piece.

*slings rotten spuds at Top 40 radio*

Song still rules... most rock bands make better music when high or stoned...

I know a few Rush songs that could qualify as ballads... let's see...

Rush - The Trees
Rush - Red Barchetta
Rush - Tom Sawyer
Rush - Xanadu

(and a few others i can't name off the top of my head)

I have two CD's worth of Rush, they're the best band ever 8)

You're a "Rush" fan, EH?!? :) My favorite ballad by Rush would have to be "Subdivisions". The chorus goes something like this:

(Subdivisions)
In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
(Subdivisions)
In the basement bars
In the backs of cars
Be cool or be cast out
Any escape might help to smooth the unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe the restless dreams of youth
